Qualifications/education summary
-
Over 15 years experience in IT consulting, software project management,
applications conceptual design and development, systems/process migration/integration,
and customer training/support.
-
Concentration on producing innovative, cost effective and long-lived solutions
to difficult problems for many customers in diverse business settings including
Engineering, Management, Manufacturing, IT, Municipal, Architectural, and
Financial. (Project details given by request).
-
Worked as employee and contract with companies from one to the Fortune
100, solo and in teams; equally comfortable and effective in any setting.
-
Associates in Applied Science:CAD, Eastfield Jr. College, Mesquite, Texas,
USA - CAD, manufacturing, electronics and computer science curriculum along
with rotation through all phases of circuit board design and manufacture
at Texas Instruments Inc. Dallas Texas.
Over 500 hours of coursework, distance learning, and self-study in
project management, quality for manufacturing, software development process,
as well as hard computer/systems/programming topics.
Major Accomplishments
-
Project lead and co-inventor/author of Automated Electrical Test, a continuity
verification system for the Printed Wiring Board fabrication industry.
-
Result of installation in captive shop was $300K/year savings and a 12% increase
in first submission yields.
-
Software was in production use for over 4 years.
-
The system solves problems between complex sets of manufacturing data and
test sets using novel image processing techniques on the back end, and
a highly integrated and intuitive GUI on the front end.
-
Invented novel continuity analysis system to accomplish above task on 1990's
PC-class hardware. The system accomplishes it's analysis of complex manufacturing
data and test sets at speeds which exceed the theoretical limits of the
hardware (in use at the time) in MIPS when compared on a pixel-by-pixel
basis.
-
Received grant for a follow-on research project to study a class of solutions
applicable to similar image processing problems.
-
Retains full rights to associated inventions.
-
Author of OSQC, On Screen Quality Control, a manufacturing simulation/visual
inspection system for the Printed Wiring Board fabrication industry incorporating
commercial and military design specifications.
-
OSCQ was integrated into CAD/CAM handoff process and was in production
use at captive shop for 8 years.
-
Result was the elimination of labor and material costs of plotting and
inspecting check glass/films. Labor/material savings was $150K/year.
-
System built with Assembler, C and Pascal.
-
Author of "Scalefactor Database" and associated interfaces, a system used
in multilayer PWB fabrication for data collection, analysis and correction
of interlayer misregistration.
-
Result of installation in primary captive shop was a savings of over 300
man hours per year for process engineers who previously had to do the analysis
manually, and a historical database for improving product/construction
characterization.
-
Still in production use after 3 years.
-
System built with Visual Basic 6 front end and Access backend
