| The Defiler, like the Protoss Dark Archon or Terran Science Vessel, is a supplement unit. It doesn't have any attack, but it can be equipped with 3 abilities. First is the Consume ability. This is one of the most unusual of the game as the Defiler eats another of your units to gain more energy. The next, Dark Swarm, creates a thick orange cloud which can serve somewhat as a shield. What it does is it makes other enemies from being able to directly target units under the cloud. Last is the Plague ability. The Plague is corrosive spores which attack to enemy units and buildings and drains there health to minimal levels. |
