aloha!
Aloha from the island of O'ahu, Hawai'i.

I'm a marine biologist with the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.  I study the biochemistry of Cubozoan (box jelly) venom and nematocyst ultrastructure.  When I'm not in the lab, i'm either surfing, spending quality time with my girlfriend, analyzing my 'o'opu 'akupa (Eleotris sandwicensis, an endemic euryhaline eleotrid that I caught in Moanalua Stream), gardening (selected fruits and vegetables, and native Hawaiian xerophytes), or reading (particularly the literature of biological evolution theory).  When I really have some free time, I do volunteer work with the Waikiki Aquarium and the Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i.

All right, I guess that's enough for now.  Like you even care about all of this stuff!

Aloha.
