Not enough time: September 5, 2007
Really the biggest stumbling block to Washoos is time. There simply is not enough time to organize and run the stuff that I would desire. For instance, I would love to have professional WANA rankings. In order to get your WANA card you would have to go to 'W' school and prove yourself worthy. Once achieving your WANA card, you would be free to enter into any sanctioned WANA events. The professional rankings would be determined based on event outcomes and importance of the event. Of course the 'majors' would carry more 'weight' in the rankings then would an impromptu tossing of the washers with poorly ranked players.
The Washoo season would close with 'The Player's Championship'. A king of the beach style, individual tournament where the player of the year is crowned (and bowed down to).
Really the possibilities are endless. We could simply pillage and steal all of the best features of professional sport out there and warp it to our liking to fit Washoos.
Of course, this is my dream. But in reality, I haven't even hosted a tournament this year (shame on me!). However, I'm looking forward to retiring.
