| Xchange 25.9.02 Interviewer: Please give it up for Mr Nick Carter.........Pleasure to meet you sir, pleasure. First of all how are thinigs going over here? Nick: Everythings great. I'm having a blast. Been doin' alota interviews and stuff. Int: and to top it all off you got another little one this afternoon Nick: Oh yeah Int: Cant beat it......Now you got your solo career. How's that going at the moment? Nick: It's going great. I mean singles out right now it's on the radio. uh album comes out Oct 28th and uh i can't wait for it to come out and everything. i'm so excited. Int: And what sort of style is it? are you keeping the same sorta thing? Nick: Um i'm kind of like...i've always been big into like rock music a little bit. I added a bit of a rock flava to the old stuff that, i've done and even new flava too. I thought it was good to just groove a little bit to. Int: We've got loads of questions for you, literally hundreds of questions have come in. We've been advertising it on the web that you were coming here. First off is a question from Lizzie in Croyden. If you were to be the first performer on the moon what would you open up your show with? Nick: Well since Lance Bass isn't gonna be on the moon i'm gonna go there now......but uh (laughs) nah i'm playing uh. Which one would i go to the moon and perform? uh probably Man on the Moon from REM Int: Good answer, good answer. ok another one here from Joanne. How did you get into the music industry ( like we don't know that already lol) Nick: Repeats the question.....uh well i'd been doing singing and acting since i was 8yrs old. Did alotta things in school, stuff like that. Like plays and then i kinda met the Backstreet Boys through u know just acting and things like that. We kinda took off from there.......Was in the business to work your way through and it's alotta work. You don't get it handed to you at all. Int: Fantastic. I got another question here from Kelly from Walthamstow. Believe it or not Kelly actually emailed us 94 questions for you Nick: 94! (looking shocked) Int: Yeah. I got them all right here. So if you'd like to pick a number between 1 and 94 then i'll ask you that question. Nick: uh 10 Int: Number 10..ok number 10. Here it is. If you could pick any actor in the world to play you in a movie about your life, who would you pick? Nick: Uh i'd probably pick....i dunno.....somebody who's probably kinda blond, kinda big burly guy (guy off camera:I'll do it!!) There you go! my man right there Int: Otis is up for it. He's the man for the job. Nick: There you go (laughs really funny) Int: Yeah we got another question here from Daniel. Are the BSB still together or have they split up? You must be fed up of this question Nick: Uh i get it asked alot cos i'm doing a solo career and everything but uh no it's not split up. I'm doing my solo thing right now. You know i've been with the boys since i was 12yrs old and um i'm 22 now so it's been 10 yrs goin' on. I really wanted to try something new in my life. Int: Keep it all fresh Nick: Yeah cos i mean i was so young in doing it all. I just wanted to try it to see what was up. Int: Nice one, ok another question here from Kelly in Walthamstow (laughs) OK another number from 1-94 Nick: Uh 53 Int: 53 ok...Now you play the drums and the guitar, which one do u prefer playing and why? Nick: I prefer playing the drums at the moment cos i'm better at it. I just picked up the guitar. I've been playing the drums since i was 12 so uh ....(to himself) yeah everything started when i was 12 (laughs) yeah and basically i just started the guitar. I can bring that with me everywhere i go and i can't bring a drum set. I used to play the drums on tour though when i was, when we was touring and stuff. I used to play and sing at the same time. Backstreet songs so...... Int: We have another one here from Niomi. Who would you prefer from Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears? (everyone laughs) hmm i guess you know them Nick: (Looking worried then cracks up laughing probably remembering the radio prank he did on Britney a few years ago :D) The funniest thing is i've never met Britney Spears at all. I might have met her like briefly when i came across her. I met Christina cos Christina is really cool Int: What were your first impressions of Britney? Nick: Um well...i don't know her so i can't really prejudge at all. but knowing Christina and all....Christina's really cool, really nice. She's a hot mama too so...... Int: Fair enough(cheers from the backround) OK we got another question here very quickly. Who would you like to exchange saliva with? Nick: What he say?!?!? Int: Repeats the question Nick: Ewwwwwww Int: Talking of Britney and Christina Nick: Both of them....nah just joking Int: Anybody in the world. Who would you do it with? you gotta answer Stuarts question Nick: Dear God...i have to answer this?!? Int: Oh yeah (people behind the cameras: oh yeah!) Nick: This is a kids programme?!?!?! laughs Int: Oh yeah...yeah we are (background: answer, answer, answer) Nick: I dunno.....(looks wildly)Sandra Bullock..i dunno or her (female presenter off camera) whoever's closest to me. nah just kidding (Then realising what he just said looks at the guy and says "not you though" and runs away LMAO) Int: Maybe not...Be careful with your answers haha Nick: It's gotta be a girl though Int: OK. One last question here from Latoya in London. Who was your biggest musical influences. Nick: repeats question......oooooooh god...mmm barra barra bing barra..I have too many musical influences not just one. It's kinda a mixture of everything. That's what kinda makes me, me and uh. I love people like David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Phil Collins. I could go on forever. They are old people. New people : Nirvana, Linkin Park. I like all sorts of music you know.
