The website I chose is about the industrialization and I feel that it does a good job in explaining what took place in this period of time. The website seems to be creditable since it was written by a professor that teaches in Western New England, and for that reason I feel that it is at least more creditable than many other websites out on the web. One thing that I really like about this website is that it is easy to find main topics. This is because there a bold faced titles that tell you the main theme of the paragraph that follows. For example if you wanted to know about the advances made in Transportation during the industrial revolution then you would scroll down to were it says that in bold. Then it gives you a summary of what changes were maid. This website is also nice since it gives you a summary of what the industrialization was at the top of the page, this paragraph is simple and does not go into great depth. The website is good since it not only talks about the machines but it also talks about the agricultural revolution which is important since it made the industrial revolution possible.

This website is about how the children were treated in
factories and what labor they endured in the cities and it too is also about
the industrialization. This website first talks about why the people began to
move into the cities instead of staying a farmer. The website gives you a basic
simple answer that was there were not enough jobs left to be a farmer due to
the improvements made with the agricultural revolution. It also states that
these jobs in the cities paid more than what farmers got paid. The labor of the children was usually harsh
in the factories and they were not treated well by their supervisors. Children
would begin work in the factories at a young age of only four, but usually
five. Children would work long hours and get paid just enough to by some food.
Some children worked in the coal mines as well and the younger ones had easier
jobs that were less labor intensive, but they were more lonely jobs away from
other people. The older kids would sometimes be "coal bearers", which
consisted of them carrying sacks of coal on their backs. At the end of the page
it talks about how there were eventually labor laws that would protect
children.

This last site that I chose is somewhat brief compared to the other two sites in, in depth information. This website talks about the agricultural revolution and when it took place. Thos website talks about the dates that it started which was in 1750. The web site tells you how the agricultural revolution has increased the food production and how that has made the population grow much quicker which is due to the increase in nutrition. It talks about how the farmers were using a basic strip of land to farm on and how that was somewhat inefficient since it did not use the land in an efficient way. The site also explains or talks about the Norfolk crop rotation system that was developed in the 19th century. This system leaves no land unused and has some sort of crop growing on it. It also tells how the inventions of new tools helped make it possible to produce enough food for the growing population. The one other thing that I liked about the site was that it didn’t have black and white font.
