| Hello all, I'm "Gustav the Gastrognome" and I'll be presenting a regular Cooking Lesson for all you lovers of fine cuisine! Many of my recipes are featured in the "must have" Cookbook of the year, "GNOMELY COOKING FOR DUMMIES", which can be purchased at all good book stores! Unlike my associate Kevin the Gnome, who spends all his time gallivanting around the globe in the name of "gnome enlightenment", I have chosen to stay in the kitchen, delighting you with my "natural" culinary talents and being a rather humble gnome, I'm happy to leave the limelight to Kev! |
| Message from this site's Webmaster...... Sadly this weeks "Cooking Lesson" has been cancelled!!!!! Dear Gustav was preparing to bring you a recipe for "Mushrooms Provencale" and merrily went out this morning to collect the main ingredients for the dish. It was a rather chilly morning so unbeknown to Kev and myself, our young friend took along a small hip flask filled with some of the Cooking Sherry!!!! (for medicinal purposes only, so he says?!!!) Well one thing led to another and after Gustav didn't arrive home, Kev and I went looking for him! There he was, rather the worse for wear (politely!!!), wandering aimlessly around the bushes, muttering about how marvellous those "field mushrooms" were!!! Further investigation has led us to believe that the aforementioned fungi were rather magical in their properties (if you get my drift!!!) and combined with the contents of the hip flask had rendered our "chef" into a delerium! No permanent damage has been done but Gustav has been "grounded" for a short period of time. Hopefully we can get him back on the straight and narrow for the next episode of "Cooking With Gustav"!!!!!! We apologise for any inconvenience!!!!!! |
