5th August, 2002. Well, what a buzz the last 10 days have been. Congratulations to Manchester and all the athletes. You've done yourself and your countries proud. And, may I modestly say, I've helped put gnomes on the map as well. I was lucky enough to help out several of the Aussie competitors in their chosen sports, spurring them on to medal winning performances. I've included as many photo's as I can of our great team. Can't wait for Melbourne in 2006. Enjoy, Kevin.
Above: Diana Calub in training. Backstrokers often balance a glass on their foreheads to keep their heads still. I was happy to volunteer my services, and it certainly paid off.
Above: Our gold medallist Heptathlete, Jane Jamieson needed some practise with the javelin, unfortunately it had been mislaid, so of course I stepped in.
Above: I was delighted to help out our synchronised swimmers on their way to a bronze medal. Way to go girls.
Above: During the heats, where I gave Louise Sauvage some helpful advice. Below: In the final I switched positions to help her steer.
