| The Italian Years |
| This information was given to me by Marina, who has been a big help - thanks again Marina! Kevin spent about two years in Italy, first dancing on "Buona Domenica," an Italian show that aired every Sunday. He was dancing with a famous Italian showgirl, Lorella Cuccariniand, and with Luca Tommassini - an Italian dancer who had also danced with Madonna. They were the only male dancers on the show and after a couple of months, they became famous all over Italy! "Buona Domenica" is a 7 hours long show, he and Luca spent the whole week learning the dance. During the show, besides dancing, they also took part in some funny sketches with the "Premiata Ditta" group (Italian funny actors), in which they were elementary students in a crazy school ( "la pazza scuola della premiata ditta" - The "Premiata Ditta's Crazy School"). Kevin played the part of a boy came from far away to learn Italian. After the "Buona Domenica," he and Luca worked in "Non Dimenticate Lo Spazzolino Da Denti" (The Italian version of "Don't Forget Your Toothbrush") by Ambra Angiolini and Jerry Scotti. In this show, they performed dances they choreographed themselves. The show didn't hit it big, but Kevin and Luca were still popular. Sometime after this show, it was hear that they were recording a CD produced by Silvio Capitta but nothing has been heard about it. |
