The NY Kretins began right around Christmas 1999-2000. The idea for the band was due to Kevin's love for REAL punk rock, which is rare. And, unfortunately, the Kretins' first gigs were to commemorate the death of Joey Ramone, and, a year later, Dee Dee Ramone. It was Ronnie's wish to play some unwanted material which led to his going to another, more commercial styled band. Then Ena Paul Kostabi, an old friend, and Cheetah Chrome entered the picture. Rich Hutchins is an awesome drummer and a permanent member of the Kretins. This is a quick summary and I will transcribe a more in depth one soon.
