Ensign Lex is a geek in all respects. She loves comptures and programs her own computer systems. Kareel, her former host, was a concert pianist, and Lenara still loves to play whenever the opportunity arrises. However, her passion lies in two things: The stars and Starfleet. She is an astrophysist with specialties in temproal mechanics and subspace phenomena. She is currently working on a research project for the Federation involving naturally occuring tetryon particles. She is currently commissioned as a Science Officer aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. She is the officer in charge of the science labs, and sometimes serves on the bridge during the night shift. |

Character History |

|
Lenara grew up on the beautiful planet Trill. Her parents were both scientists- her mother studied molecular biology while her father was fond of mathmatics. Even as a small child, she remembers travelling with her parents to important Federation conventions, where her parents were often key note speakers. These trips were always her favorite part of the year, as she quickly fell in love with the atmosphere of the Federation and the stars themselves. She often helped her parents with their work, although the most they would ever let her do was help with the computer systems. However, she still studied hard in school and fell in love with science, just like her parents.
She applied to Starfleet Academy on her 16th birthday, but was rejected. She tried again on her 18th birthday and was accepted. She quickly rose to the top 5% in her class in science studies and languages.
Her midmanship year was spent aboard the U.S.S. Keans, and she graduated from the acadamy with honors and a comission aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid as the bridge night shft science officer. |
