When I was eight years old, my father took me hunting in the nearby forest. Quickly I caught on and was soon finding food for the entire family. It was around this time my family realized I had the potential for more than simple farm life. They sent out a message to all nearby communities, offering to pay for archery lessons. Laridan Corlan, a master Elven Archer, answer the call. He was amazing; everything I had imagined possible with a bow, he could teach me to do. Thus, began my many years of training under his watchful eye.
When I was fifteen, Laridan and my parents sent me to Jo'nai, an Elven archery camp. For two years I studied there, learning all sorts of skills, such as shooting into battle safely and shooting while very close to people.
Now it is during this time a few of the students, obviously all Elves, snuck out of camp at night to go play some practical jokes on the nearby Human town. Among their plans was to stack all the furniture in the general store in a pile for the owner to take down in the morning. Believing it to be a robbery in progress, one of the town guards slammed open the door, causing the pile to topple of and kill him.
The Humans were furious. They sent their town guard into the camp, and through a series of such miscommunications, another war nearly broke out between Elves and Men over a practical joke caused by children.
The Humans were especially closed-minded, but were willing to listen to the Elves' arguments through me due to my race. I was able to show them the abilites with the bow Elves had given me, and that though often, "flighty," Elves were truly magnificent creatures. The war was avoided.
The camp instructors were especially proud and took me on as a special student, on the track to become an, "Arcane Archer." Though Human, they believed I would put the skills to proper use.
Today I seek to be the living culmination of both race's abilities. I adventure to further my name, and to prove to the world that Elves and Men are a unity not to be trifled with.
