Here's a synopsis acording to Comics Continuum Online

Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean will make an animated guest appearance on Static Shock on Saturday, April 27.
The episode, "Duped," will include the voice talents of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner (currently starring in Showtime's Jeremiah) and rapper/actor Coolio (who also has a small role in Daredevil).
Here's how Kids' WB! describes the episode:
"A.J. McLean stars as himself - dealing with screaming fans, music business bureaucracy and a meta-human who impersonates him with negative consequences. A.J. takes Adam Evans (voice of Kadeem Hardison) -- a.k.a. Rubberband Man - under his wing to "show him the meaning of being a singer." When record company executive Lester Biggs (Warner) takes A.J.'s advice to sign Adam to a music deal, rebel meta-human Replikon (Coolio) believes the deal should go to him instead. Using his powerful shape-shifting abilities, Replikon kidnaps A.J. and assumes his identity. This bad-boy version of A.J. changes his feelings about Adam and pushes for Replikon to get signed. With the real A.J. locked away, will Static discover the truth before Adam's career is ruined forever?"
Review of Static Shock episode: Duped
Adam Evans, Voiced by Kadeem Harridson: Duane on A Different World, is being offered a recording contract with A.J. McLean, starring as himself, taking Adam under his wing and Lester Biggs, voiced by Malcom-Jammal Warner:ex-Cosby Kid, cutting a deal with him. Virgil realizes who A.J. is and is surprised that he's becoming Adam's mentor. Adam asks Virgil to be hushed about what he saw because nobody knows that A.J. is even in Dakota and Adam wants it to stay that way. Virgil talks to Richie, his friend, over the phone and makes him swear not to tell anybody who he saw. Frieda and Daisy, Virgil's friends, realize that they can make Richie do anything they ask. They bribe him into telling them what he knows by offering him a double chilli cheese burger with grilled onions. Virgil is upset that Richie would betray his trust.
Suddenly, there's a horde of screaming Backstreet Boys fans outside the recording studio where Adam and A.J. are hiding. Rita Rodreges sees the opened mob as a security risk while A.J. sees it as a publicity Op.
Adam and A.J. try to sneak their way out back only to find that Frieda and Daisy have spotted them and that's when the Backstreet Boys fans give chase. Adam tries to hold the crowds back only to fail miserably. A.J. realizes that he's cornnered in the alleyway when Static Shock scoops up A.J. and takes him back to the hotel. A.J. asks Static if those girls are his fans too? Static says rather scarstically that the girls can't keep their hands off of him. Static drops A.J. off back at balcony of his hotel and asks him what he's doing in Dakota? A.J. explains that he's talking with Lester Biggs about signing Adam to a recording deal. Static Shock heads off but asks A.J. to sign an autograph for a friend. Static Shock asks that the Autograph be made out to "V". Repilikon, voiced by Coolio, is jealous of Adam's sudden success and kidnaps and impersonates A.J. with plans to ruin Adam's future in music and getting a recording contract for himself. Disguised as A.J. Replikon tells Lester to sign him instead of Adam to a record deal. Feeling defeated Adam confides in Virgil saying that A.J. played him very badly.
Virgil's friends are over at his house watching TV when Frieda notices that A.J.'s Chinese symbol tattoo is on the wrong arm. This discovery leads Static Shock to beleive that A.J. is in fact Replikon in disguise. Virgil figures out that Replikon must have been facing A.J. when he was looking at him and disguising himself. Thus the reason why the wicked A.J.'s tattoos were backwards sort of like looking in a mirror.
Replikon heads to the old record store where he and Adam worked a LONG time ago where he had A.J. tied up and has made plans to destroy A.J. before anyone knew what was going on? A.J. manages to free himself and knock over a shelf ontop of Replikon. A.J. is fumbling around in the dark trying to unlock the door. Just as Replikon has A.J. cornnered Static Shock then bursts into the record store where and a huge fight between Static Shock and Replikon ensues. Static Shock pins Replikon to the wall giving A.J. time to escape from the danger but Replikon turns himself into wood which makes Static's attacks ineffective against him. A.J. sets up a machine and puts headphones over Replikon's head. The blast gives Replikon some vicious reverb which turns out to be Replikon's own bad music.
Adam is finally signed to a record deal and he has gained some fans in Virgil's friends. Virgil and Richie make up their own rap and Frieda and Daisy pretend that they don't know them.
The Show: Very excellent show. A.J. showed some awesome acting abilities and really stretched his acting musscles. I'm hoping that he'll do Static Shock again. Maybe the other guys will do Static Shock too. One can only hope. The jokes were very humbling and very true of A.J.'s personality. The script was really well written and very well thought out.
:) A.J. was very cool to see animated. Everything about him was just perfect right down to his tattoos. The animators did a fabulous job in annimating him. It made me feel like I was in the room with him.
Rating overall-******

Question: "Was that really our boy AJ's voice?"
Answer: Yes it was! IMHO it just wouldn't be appropriate if the producers said that A.J. was going to be in the episode and it wasn't his voice.
I hope that they can do Static Shock as a group. That would be a real treat to see how Frieda and Daisy act when the whole group comes to Dakota. :)
