Everyone has a different Anti-Drug. I have 5 anti-drugs in the Backstreet Boys. I chose the Backstreet Boys as my anti-drug because one of the group's members, AJ McLean, went through rehab in July of 2001.

I saw just how destructive alcohol was and how it practically ran A.J.'s life. Now that he's been sober for a year and a half I now know that people like A.J. can recover from substance abuse be it alcohol, drugs, smoking or whatever.

In a way, the Backstreet Boys are like a drug, a natural drug, because I'm so addicted to them and I'd never want to see anything happen to them that might break them up. I can't even imagine what my life would have been like if I hadn't discovered them when I did. It's almost as if they came into my life at just the right time and in just the right way.

A.J. going into rehab has also taught me just how precious life is and you either have to go on with life or life will just swallow you up whole. Thankfully A.J. realized that before his problems got too out of hand. I'll never forget him for this.
