BLUE SKY POWERCHUTES
Hello and welcome to my web page.I've been flying powered parachutes since May 2001.It all started with an introductory flight as it does with all PPC pilots but I think my experience was different from most. Here I thought I was going for a "sight seeing" tour ended with me soloing in about an hour after which I took ground school.I never thought it would be that quick and easy. The rest of that summer I practiced my take-offs and landings.Once winter rolled around I was really thinking long and hard about purchasing my own powered parachute.I ended up buying a 2001 Powrachute PC2000 in April of '02 from a dealer that had 13 hours on it.I now have many more hours. Each September since 2002 I travel from Canada down to the Powrachute Extravaganza in Kansas to mingle with other PPC pilots and participate in the world record launch. The last record I flew in was 2003 with 143 planes up in 25 minutes. In '04 and '05 the winds were to strong to even try to go up.
I've always had a keen eye for things that are mechanical.I attended a Rotax two stroke engine course in Vernon,British Columbia in April 2006.I've purchased the tools for tearing down the two stroke engines and use only Rotax parts. For more pictures
