September 14th, 2000

Sorry it has been so long since the last update, but our family has been very busy!

Kevin just started daycare at the end of August and is doing great. I work in the room next door to him so I can keep an eye on him. We started him on solid foods in July, but he hasn't really taken to them yet. He tries to get the spoon out of your hands and feed himself (very messy!). He will eat waffles and wheat bread on his own, though. We give him pieces of it and he shoves it right into his mouth and gobbles it up! It's really cute.

Let's see, he went for another check-up (more shots) and his latest stats are as follows:
As of August 18, 2000, Kevin weighs 19 lbs and is 27 1/2" long!
He's a big boy!

He is starting to pull himself up on furniture and laughs all the time. He loves bottles, cups and glasses. If we hold any one of those things in front of him, he grabs it and puts it right to his mouth!

He has also learned how his carseat works. After watching us get him out a few times, he now helps lift the straps over his head and then sits forward so we can pick him up - he's such a smart kid!
