Emery Lewis MURCHISON

Publish Date: Monday, July 28, 2003 EMERY 'LEWIS' MURCHISON PRESQUE ISLE - Lewis Murchinson died July 25, 2003, at his residence. He was born in Presque Isle, Sept. 28, 1942, the son of Kenneth and Bertha (Bourgoyne) Murchinson. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle, where he was active in helping with receptions, Bingo night and being an usher. He was a member of the Bishop Daniel J. Feeney Assembley 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus. He attended Mapleton schools and was a past member of the volunteer fireman in Presque Isle. Mr. Murchinson had been employed by ABC Bakery and Hedrich Vending Inc. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Murphy) Murchinson; a brother, Gerald Murchinson and his wife, Linda, all of Presque Isle; two sisters, Phyllis Roix and her husband, Dana, of Bangor; and Ida Koch, a special sister who has been more like a mother to him the last five years and her husband, Ed, of Presque Isle; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Murchinson of Caribou; godchildren, Joshua Koch and JoAnne Corriveau; several nieces and nephews; his two dogs, Daisy and U.J. He will be remembered by a very good friend, Sharon St. Peter of Preseque Isle; and close friends, Karen Winslow and Mary Jo Badger, both of Presque Isle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister, Lois Ervine; sisters, Lillian Clukey and Edwena Murchinson; and brothers, Kenneth and Darrell Murchinson. At his request there will be no callings hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle with Rev. Fred Irving celebrant.
