Hi Kevin, was over to mom's last night and she enjoys your e-mails. I take copies and give them to her. Here is what she told me. Grampa's father was Thomas Charles,married to Alice Rideout, oldest of 14 children died of
a brain hemorrhage, daughter of Ezekiel & Augusta Rideout. Do you have a picture of Aunt Alice ( your great grandmother). It was in the paper when she died and told all her family names. Do you have anything on a George Norris, he was a friend or relative of grampa's? He was a favorite of mom's and gave her a nickname, Katie
that is how she came to be called Kate. Everybody calls her that.Now for the family.
Alberta Alice married x2, Hubert Hitchcock (died a few years ago), divorced and married Berton Cox who died a few years ago too. She had 2 children, Fred 1940 and Mike 1949. I think you can get their kids names from
Diane.
Arnold Aladin. Aunt Rowena maiden name was Kennison.They had quite a few children ( Diane again).Son Kevin had been in an accident and had a plate in his head and in 1972 he had been out with friends and when he came
home that night he was dropped off near his home and got turned around and headed the wrong way and fell in a ditch. There was a lot of snow and he fell over a big snow bank and passed out and froze to death. Nobody
found him until the next day. They also had a son Keith who died as a baby, had bowl surgery as a newborn, a colostomy (sp.?). When he was about a year old they operated again to put the bowl back, he came through surgery ok but didn't come out of anasthetic.
Mom,you have everything except her middle name is Leona.
Roy- Diane is his daughter so she can give info on family.
Rowena- same any extra from Diane.
Sam and Dot had about 5 or 6 kids (Diane)
Grace,yes uncle Ken is aunt Dot's brother. They also had a lot of kids.
Tom married Bonnie Donavin,5 kids,divorced.Uncle Tom lived in Toronto until he died ? buried in Four Falls- heart attack I think. Aunt Bonnie lives out west somewhere.
Ruby Elida married Junior Giberson divorced, married Jim Jinkins. He was from Maine. They divorced too and she never had any children. Aunt Ruby died also of a bad lung problem.she was a heavy smoker.
Charles married Alvina Cassista (my husband's older sister), Had Cindy,Tim and Kim,all are married and have kids.Live in Bramalea Ont.
Kathleen married Fransis McCarthy. I believe she was born in 1945. They had 4 children; Colleen, Leroy, Mathew and Laura. Kathleen is the one who has all the information on our family and letters writen back in the
1800's and pictures.
Pat married Linda ?,2 children,Shawn and Holly,they each have 1 child.Well that's it for mom's family and like I said Diane can fill any other gaps. She told me she would help you with anything she can.Thank you for giving her my e-mail. We had a little chat it was nice, now I have to send her info on my brothers and sisters.
