Died of a heart attack.
Delbert was fortunate to be able to work on some very famous projects
in the Province of Ontario. To just name a few they are The Commerce
Court, The CN Tower (Toronto), The Lakeview gennerating plant in
Missasuga, and the Trans Canada Hiway.
George is listed as living with his son Daniel & his family in the 1891 Census, which was taken 9 Apr 1891. This is the only time he is shown as George S. I am unsure if the S is for senior (there is a George H.M. in the same house) All other persons have first name and an initial.
According to 1871 Census he is listed as 63 yrs, that puts his birth 1808
1861 Census shows his land

A North Carolina branch is using this same date as the one I believe

Kevin,
The information I have on Alexander Murchison came from A Family
History Center. It was on A Ancestrial File. It is a user summited
file, so how difinate it is, I don't know.
It has his wife as Catherine Macleod. Their children are John, Daniel,
Malcom, Nancy, Margaret,and Mary.
Daniel's son,John Silas Murchison married Ann Eliza Boaz. In a 1974
publication"The family of Mrs.J.S. Murchison. A record of the
descendants of Ann Eliza Boaz", It states that Daniel's parents were
Alexander Murchison and Catherine Macleod.
This same family record is in a 1949 Publication"The Thomas Boaz
Family in America, with Related Families." By Bishop Hiram Boaz.
Sorry, I don't have a death date on Alexander.Ronnie Williams

Hi Ron, I was just looking at the information you left on the ancestry
world tree. You have a listing on an Alexander Murchison birth listed
as 25 Dec 1765 in Skye, Inverness. I am wondering how definate this
info is. I am stuck on one of my ancestres and I think that that
Alexander was my ansetor. I'll tell you what I have. My furthest known
ansestor is Alexander Murchison. I first found him living in New
Brunswick in the census of 1851. It states he entered the colony 1804,
and that he was receiving a pension. After further investigations I
came across an entry in a military unit that he was in. I sent off to
the Canadian Archives for his info. It shows his birth to be in 1765,
which is confirmed with his tombstone, and born in Inverness,
Inverness, Scotland. I have only came across one Alexander born in
that time frame and it appears to be the same one you have listed. My
Alexander definately married a Barbra McRitchie in Scotland and had 1
daughter there as well in 1802. The rest of the children look to be
born in New Brunswick. I am trying to get past this brick wall. I am
wondering if you could provide any info that might clear this up. Do
you have a death listing on your Alexander?Kevin Murchison
I've edited the Birth from 25 Dec 1765 to 1766 due to the newspaper artical on his death. The 25 Dec 1765 was based on an assumption.
