"12/06/2003 HOLMES, ROY -
The death of Roy Holmes of Four Falls, occurred on December 3, 2003 at the
Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 75. Born in Beechwood. He is survived by
his wife Emma (Murchison) Holmes; children William (Alice) Holmes of
Edmonton, Percy (Diane) Holmes of Toronto, Erma (Gary) Turner of Edmonton,
Sherwood Holmes of George Town, On., Dale Holmes of Edmonton and Francis
(Dorothy) Holmes of Kelowna, B.C.; 11 grandchildren, six great
grandchildren; three brothers Jasper Holmes of Guelph, On., Ralph Holmes of
Bath and Joseph (Leitha) Holmes of Four Falls; one sister Della Johansen of
New Denmark and one sister-in-law Hilda Holmes of Brantford, On..
Predeceased by his parents William and Myrtle (Tracey) Holmes, three
brothers George, Moses and Basil, daughter-in-law Myrna Holmes and Father
and Mother-in-law Earl and Olive Murchison. Resting at White's Funeral Home
with visiting hours on Saturday December 6, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and
also Sunday, December 7, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be
held on Monday December 8, 2003 at 2 PM from Trinity Anglican Church,
Perth-Andover with Rev. John Mills officiating. Interment in the Anglican
Cemetery, Four Falls. Memorial Donations to the Four Falls Cemetery,
Southern Victoria Cancer Fund or Donor's Choice would be appreciated by the

His regiment being disbanded, he moved up the river St. John to parish of Perth where he remained till his death.
