P&O North Sea Ferries have concluded a new agreement with Associated British Ports (ABP) for the construction of a new hypermodern passengerterminal in the port of Hull.
The new terminal will be able to handle the newest cruiseferries which are being built at present, and are ordered to enter service in april and december 2001.

The new ships are too large to pass through the Lock of Hull, and will have to moore in the Humber River near Hull's King George Dock.
ABP invests £13 million in the necessary riverworks and the construction of the terminal itself.

The port of Hull is already 700 years old and P&O North Sea Ferries have already a 34 year co-operation with this port.
