Ahhh... the wonderful jeep! This car was a blast to drive and own. I had the full-on fiberglass hard top (read HEAVY!!!), the soft fast-back top, and a bikini top. It used to be so cool being able to switch up one top to the next throughout the year. It was also very nice to be able to put the hard top back on when it got into the fall since it made it "sort of" quieter.
One problem with the soft tops though: the non-locking soft doors tend not to keep the crack heads out of your car. I lost more radios and loose change in this damn car! Grrr.....
Standard equipment on this rig should have been ear plugs and a kidney belt though. Very bumpy, rough ride.
I eventually sold it back to the buddy that I bought it from since it tended to die fairly frequently. After a lot of tinkering, my friend got it running like a top when he found that the catalytic convertor had basically melted into a solid piece of platinum.
