Socialization
- the complex set of lifelong processes by which infants become functional individuals and a member of the society by learning the necessary knowledge, skills and attititudes.

Sociologists focus on how people learn the basic rules and attitudes of human behaviour that are considered acceptable in our society

- Psychologists focus on the development of the human personality, and the acquisition of those personal characteristics that make each individual unique.

Anthropologists views socialization as the means by which permanent human societies are produced.
