You don't use NFS. You use SAMBA (http://www.samba.org).

Samba questions from vmware.newsgroup.com

For example, you can change the smb.conf file so that you turn on encrypted passwords, and setup a share for the root [DO NOT DO THIS EXCEPT IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT!]. Then, while logged in as root, add the root user using smbpasswd. Then from NT, you can say: net use \\linuxbox\root /user:root That will allow your NT system full access to all of the files on the Linux server. Use with care and discretion. I use it so that I can do all of my editing in a nice GUI editor, without having to pollute my server installation with unnecessary X Windows code. Just keeps it small and tidy. You can also restrict the IP addresses for any client machines that SAMBA is to allow. The SAMBA website has information to show you how to access the NT file system through SAMBA on the Linux side.

add you windows machine ip in your hosts file add 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost in hosts file startx use the printer utility chose the add , smb printer enter all the information it need. enter the username, password, domain/workgroup restrat lpd test the printer.
