(This poem was enspired by an away message a friend of mine. She had a messy break up, but she tried to keep strong. An away message she left had really gotten to me that she left for people to read. I got inspired to write this. I think its probably the only one of my writings that actually has potential of becoming a song. But we'll see. You go girl)
Nothing can prepare you
for the moment you have been put through
the whole world seems to shatter and break
into so many little piecies that it seems impossible
to make any sort of life out of it again
but you push on becuase you are stronger than the day before
You push on because their is a great life to be lived
you push on because he doesn't deserve the satisfaction
you push on because your struggling to regain life again (and meaning)
the trust of a bond was betrayed
and you were the only one that got hurt
it seems unfair and not right
but he never deserved you in the first place
and would have caused problems much further down the road
so you push on because you are stronger than the day before
you push on because their is a great life to be lived
you push on because he doesn't deserve the satisfaction
you push on because your struggling to regain life again (and meaning?)
so now where do you go from here
the healing process is never easy
and love seems like a waste of time
especially when ending in rejection
but somewhere out there is your man so you
need to push on because you are stronger then the day before
push on because their is a greater life to be lived
push on becuase he doesn't deserve the satisfaction
push on because your struggling to regain life again (and meaning?)
So you press forward
not for a man or a relationship
but for friendship to carry you through the day
and maybe some day you will be the one who helps someone else
