Did the Bigelows

Finished hiking those scary mountains in the horizon.  We decided to push on past Avery Campsite.  Mainly because we only have enough food for breakfast tomorrow and being at Horn's Pond puts us 5 miles away from Stratton.  Kevin and I have definitely received our hiking appetites.  I had 1 1/2 packs of Ramen for dinner and was still craving more food.  Kevin keeps drooling over the thought of pizza.  I want a nice big, fat hamburger.  And a Wendy's frosty.  And french fries.  Yeah.  That would be good.

The hike was a blur today.  I zoned out except when the pretty views came up.  We could actually see Katahdin from West Peak in the far, far distance... a NOBO had to point it out for us.  Of course he would see it.  He's probably been dreaming of it for a couple of months now.

It's gotten extremely cold for summer... feels like November in Georgia.  Actually, more like October.  I could use my hat and gloves now, but I packed them in our bounce box.  That's OK.  They're still not worth the weight - it's not
that cold.

Tomorrow is Town Day and I, as always, CAN'T WAIT!  I won't make the same mistake I did in Caratunk.  I'm going to eat a lot!  I didn't pig out in Caratunk... well, maybe a little on the ice cream... mmm... ice cream.
