Kevin and Mary on the AT |
On June 22, 2003, we embarked on a short journey through several northeastern states on the Appalachian Trail. Why? Life is just too short not to take a break from the "real world" for a while. And, plus, we have this burning desire to get eaten alive by black flies... Where? Many hikers decide to traverse the complete Trail ("thru-hikers"); however, while we are fortunate enough to take off for a couple of months, we had to re-enter civilization in August. So, we will be section-hiking the entire trail over many, many years to come. We started the first section at the northern-most point of the AT, Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, and finished up in Killington, Vermont. Track us down... If you're still captivated by why we did this and what we experienced on the trail (other than bug bites), visit our online journal . |
