| For the rest of the time everyone was on the promotional tour, Kevin and Magdalena grew closer. They decided to try to make their relationship work, no matter what stood in the way. Magdalena followed the Backstreet Boys through their conferences and countless interviews. Kevin was very open about his relationship with Magdalena, and didn't hide his feelings for her. They enjoyed the trip so much, but both were very disenchanted about going back to Orlando and facing all the tension with Nathan. On the plane ride back home, everyone was riding on a private jet. Magdalena was laying her head down in Kevin's lap, trying not to worry. "The court date is in two days. Are you scared?" Kevin asked. Magdalena finally decided to bury Nathan in her past once and for all, and the only way to do that was to finally send him to jail. The place where he belonged. "Kind of. Every time I'm near him my stomach turns and I just feel so helpless." Magdalena said softly. Kevin assured her that Nathan wasn't going to hurt her anymore. "But what if something happens. I mean he might kill us." "Remember I said the bastard has to go through me first." Kevin said. Kevin then played with Magdalena's bellybutton to calm her down. He always knew that she liked her bellybutton to be rubbed. "You know what we should when we get back into town? How about we have a small dinner at this little place I know. You know just the two of us. No Backstreet Boys, any people taking pictures, any screaming fans, just the two of us." Kevin said. "I would love that a lot. I mean I don't understand how you could hear girls scream 'Kevin I love you. Marry me!' God knows if I heard that all the time I would freak out." Magdalena said. "Well it comes with the job. The fans humble me and I know that without them I wouldn't have this success. But I know without you, I wouldn't be happy at all." Kevin said, just before kissing Magdalena. Later that night, when the two arrived back home. They changed and went to a small Italian restaurant not far from Kevin's house. They both ordered, and ate their dinner peacefully. Kevin kept staring at Magdalena, smiling to himself. Magdalena noticed him do it more than once and finally asked him about it. "You're looking at me like something's wrong." Magdalena said. "Well actually there is something wrong," Kevin began to reply back, "You kind of have something on your face. Wait; let me get that for you." He then bent down in front of Magdalena and pretended to wipe her face. Suddenly a diamond ring landed in the middle of her lap. Magdalena gasped and looked at Kevin. Kevin began to smile, and held the ring in his hand. "Magdalena, I know we've known each other for a long time, yet we just recently established a stable relationship. And I don't want that relationship to end, so...will you be my wife?" Kevin said. Tears began to form in Magdalena's eyes, and her mouth dropped. "Will you marry me Maggie?" Kevin asked again, praying she would say yes. Magdalena managed to whisper yes, and kissed Kevin passionately. Days after everyone came home, Magdalena and Kevin went to court. It was the first time in a good month since Nathan saw Magdalena. He saw that she was looking happy and healthy. Her bruises were almost gone, and that she seemed more confident in herself. The judge charged Nathan with attempts of murder and many accounts of physical abuse. He got a lot of jail time, and Nathan's anger arose. As the bailiff was taking him away, and Kevin and Magdalena were leaving the courtroom, Nathan tried to charge for Magdalena. "You're a dead bitch. You hear me. I'll get you. Trust me. This isn't over." Nathan yelled as the bailiff was dragging him away. Magdalena and Kevin were leaving for the parking lot, sighing in relief. Magdalena was feel queasy all morning, but thought it was because of how nervous she was about the court case. "Maggie you okay? You look really pale, almost like you're about to...." Kevin began to say just before Magdalena ran to the bathroom to throw up. Later that afternoon, the two were back home. Kevin was on his bed laying down waiting for Magdalena to come out of the bathroom. She was in there for ten minutes now, taking a pregnancy test and he was wondering if she was okay. He then began to wonder how life would be like if he was a father. He always imagined settling down sometime with his wife in a small-secluded place, and raising a nice family. He didn't say he was taking a break from music, but he wanted to have a family established if his career ended. Magdalena walked out of the bathroom and crawled on top of Kevin. "It's blue." She said softly. Kevin's face lit up because he knew that it mean she was pregnant. Kevin smiled and hugged Magdalena. "Wait; don't get too excited though. I'm still going to go to the doctor's office pretty soon just to be sure. But I have a good feeling that the test said it all." Magdalena said. She then laid down next to Kevin, and Kevin wrapped his arms around Magdalena. He then began to rub her stomach, and Magdalena began to play with Kevin's hair. "So what should we name the baby?" Magdalena asked. "We need to know if it's a boy or a girl first." Kevin replied. "Well if it's a girl, I want to her to have a pretty name like Fiona or Daisy." Magdalena said. Kevin then laughed because he thought the name Daisy seemed silly. "What's wrong with Daisy? I mean doesn't Daisy Sophia Richardson sound like a gorgeous name?" Kevin then smiled at hearing Daisy use his last name. It made him feel happy because he finally knew that he could have true happiness with the woman he loved. As they stayed in bed and talked more about the baby, Magdalena became a little worried about Kevin and his career. "Babe, you know how we're getting married and probably having a kid soon. I wonder how is this going to effect your career. I mean your fans are probably going flip out." "I don't care about the fans. I mean I can be content with living at home and writing songs for the rest of my life. I mean my fans are who make me successful, but they can't tell me who to love and who not to love. If my fans are mature, they'd understand that I deserve to happy too. And my managers are encouraging me to be open about us. That's why tomorrow when MTV is interviewing the rest of the guys, I'm going to tell them everything." Kevin said. "So you have nothing to worry about. This is the beginning of our lives together, and no one will get between us from now on." |
