| Cry Me A River - By Daisy |
| That following Monday, Breanne drove to a downtown location in LA and prepared for her spot in Justin's video. She arrived at eight thirty that morning, and was escorted to a dressing room, which she shared with three other girls. Breanne didn't seem nervous about the video, which threw off the other dancers. The other dancers were either excited or gushing because they were so nervous. You're not at all scared about filming this?" One of the dancers asked Breanne. "Because I'm scared as hell. I mean this is Justin Timberlake." "I know who it is." Breanne replied. She then looked in the mirror and fixed her black halter top. "Just because he's famous doesn't intimidate me. Plus I met him before, and he's very down to earth." "Plus he's gorgeous." The dancer replied. "I guess you can say that, but we go way back." Breanne said. Soon Justin Timberlake entered the dressing room to greet each of the dancers. He noticed Breanne last, and gave her a huge hug. "I had to make sure you really came. Damn girl, how long has it been?" Justin asked. "Last time I saw you was two years ago in Florida at a club. You were with your girlfriend at the time." "Don't remind me." Justin said right before chuckling. He noticed Breanne's red hair, and smiled. "Nice hair. I didn't think the director was serious when he wanted to dancers to dye their hair to stand out in the video." "Yeah he was. You think it looks good right?" "Hell yeah. You look beautiful baby girl." Justin replied. "But anyway. Ladies, you ready to shoot?" He asked everyone else. The entire group walked out of the dressing room, and started heading to the set. For most of the day, Breanne danced her heart out for the director. She was a little tired after the first three hours, but in between breaks the rest of the dancers and Justin kept her entertained with jokes and small conversations. Breanne really enjoyed dancing with the others, because it took her mind off of the Kevin situation. She didn't want to waste all of her energy stressing about it, and was grateful that dancing for the music video preoccupied her mind. Finally at 1:00am, Breanne was free to head home. As she was heading for her Jeep, Justin ran over and surprised her. "Hey, you were great today." He said. "Why thank you Mr. Timberlake. I appreciate the praise, and the opportunity to dance with you." Breanne said as she got into her black Jeep Cherokee. "I hope to see you again soon." "You have my number. Just call me." Breanne said. She soon drove off, and headed back home. As she was driving, all her nervous feelings for Kevin resurfaced. She was scared about what was going to happen between them. She didn't want it to ruin their friendship, but in the back of her mind she knew after the tape, things were not going to be the same. Breanne decided to turn on the radio, because she thought maybe music would help her calm down. The song "Cry me a river" was playing and Breanne groaned. If it wasn't for that song Breanne would not be in such an awkward situation. Why would someone get a sick idea from a simple song, Breanne thought. She then groaned and popped in her John Mayer CD. Forty five minutes later, Breanne was home and she was glad. The only thing she wanted to do was climb into her bed. But then she knew Kevin was probably sleeping there. She sighed as she thought about him sleeping peacefully in her bed and she couldn't do what she really wanted to do to him. Sleeping in the same bed as him was extremely difficult. Why did he have to be attractive even when he slept with his insanely goodlooks, and not to mention his chiseled body. Breanne quietly walked in the house, and noticed Kevin sound asleep on the couch. He was dressed in only a pair of green swim trucks, and had a bowl of doritos resting on his stomach. The television was still on, and apparently he fell asleep while watching a rerun of "The Real World". Breanne smiled to herself and noticed how adorable he looked. She kneeled down infront of him and moved the bowl of doritos away. Kevin instantly opened his eyes and noticed Breanne. "Hey you." He said softly. He groaned as he set himself up and rubbed his eyes. "You just get in?" "Yeah. What did you do all day besides watch TV and veg out?" Breanne asked. Kevin explained he did some work with Just Within Reach and went to the gym. He said he got back around six thirty, and decided to stay in. He then asked about the video shoot. "I had fun. Justin and the rest of the dancers were nice. Me and Justin kept joking with each other, like we always do." "Wait, you actually talk to him?" " Yes I do. I met him through JC from Nsync, and we keep in touch with each other." Breanne replied. She yawned and cracked her neck. "But today was incredibly long, and I think I'm going to hit the sack." "That makes two of us. But wait! Some guy named David called, and said he wanted to see you tomorrow night." "He actually called?" Breanne asked herself. She was surprised to hearfrom David again. "Shit! I gotta call him back." Breanne said right before takingout her cell phone from her pocket. Kevin grabbed the phone and slammed it back down on the table. "What the hell are you doing?" "Bre! It's almost two in the morning. Do you think he'll be happy with you if you call him this late?" Kevin asked. He tried not to sound like he was suspicious of David, but he was a little curious about him. "Plus I don't know this guy. You think it's a good idea to be spending so much time with him?" "Are you jealous?" Breanne asked. She was joking with Kevin of course, but felt it would be flattering if Kevin cared a little about her seeing David. "And besides it's only our second date." "I was joking Breanne. I don't care who you date." Kevin said. "He just better take care of you." Kevin then yawned himself and got up from the couch. "Damn, I think I better get to bed too. I have a radio interview at 1:30pm tomorrow. So I guess I better get some rest." Breanne only sat there a little hurt because Kevin said he didn't care. She just wished he was a little concerned, but she figured he didn't feel strongly about her like she felt about him. Kevin headed upstairs, and left Breanne in the living room. Breanne turned off the TV, and carried the chips in the kitchen. "Stupid crush I have." She mumbled to herself as she dumped the chips in the trash. Breanne then grabbed her cell phone and headed upstairs to join her best friend. The next morning, Breanne called David back and David insisted Breanne have dinner at his place that night. Breanne was a little uncertain because she just met David and wondered why he was interested in her. It wasn't normal that guys actually wanted to see her again after the first date, but then she remembered she had such a great time. Finally Breanne agreed and was told to meet David at his house at eight thirty. Breanne left the kitchen smiling, and saw Kevin coming downstairs. "What's with that smile? Are you that happy to see me?" Kevin asked sarcastically as he adjusted himself in his boxers. "You cook me breakfast?" "How 'bout no?" Breanne replied. Kevin walked over and playfully slapped Breanne's behind. Breanne yelped and headed back in the kitchen to grab a glass of orange juice. Kevin stumbled to the pantry and took out a bag of bagels and some peanut butter. Breanne noticed Kevin grabbed peanut butter and she scrunched her nose. "How can you eat bagels and peanut butter?" She asked him. "Hey! Peanut butter goes with anything okay. I mean unless you have some cream cheese." Kevin replied. Breanne tossed Kevin the cream cheese and Kevin prepared his breakfast. Breanne sat down on the kitchen counter and looked at Kevin. Kevin hummed as he fixed his bagel and looked back up at Breanne. "But seriously, why were you smiling?" Kevin asked. "I got a date tonight." "That's cool, is it with that David guy?" "As a matter of fact, yes it is with him. I called him back this morning. I'm having dinner at his place." Breanne said "At his place?" Kevin asked. "You think that's a good idea?" "You can't be serious with that question." "Bre! You just met the guy. I mean you think it's cool to be going to his place. What if he just wants to get inside your pants." "Then I'll tell him to go fuck himself and just come back home. I'm a big girl okay. I can take care of myself." Breanne said. She was a little offended that Kevin didn't trust her judgments. Plus she wondered if indeed he was a little jealous. "Besides, I thought you didn't care who I dated." "I don't care. I just worry about you okay." "Don't worry about anything. I'll be fine." Breanne said. She downed her orange juice and left the kitchen. She wondered why Kevin was worried about her. It wasn't like him to show interest in the men she dated, but why was he asking questions now. Breanne hoped that maybe Kevin was starting to notice her, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. Soon after, Kevin left the house and Breanne talked to her manager to see if she had any upcoming gigs. Afterwards, Breanne lounged around her house and prepared for her date with David. Around seven, she took a shower and changed clothes. She had some difficulty picking something to wear because she didn't want to seem too inviting to David. Plus she wasn't sure what kind of dinner he was having, and didn't want to dress over the top. Finally she decided on a short strapless red dress, and covered it up with a nice black sweater. She promptly did her make-up and glanced in the mirror. She studied herself and sighed. For someone who was just twenty four, she looked a lot younger for her age. Many people thought she wasn't even twenty one yet because of her looks, and not to mention her personality. Looking so young used to be one of her pet-peeves, but later in life she learned to cherish how she looked. Finally she looked at the clock one final time right before heading out the door. She arrived at David's house a little early, but was greeted cheerfully. David escorted Breanne into his condo, and she was amazed how well designed his place was. His house was mainly colorful, but very orderly. "Nice place." Breanne said politely as she sat down on his blood red couch. She took off her sweater, and crossed her legs. "Thanks. "That's a nice dress you have on." David replied back as he took Breanne's sweater and headed towards one of his closets. He informed her that they would be eating some shrimp and other seafood dishes. He started to head back to the dinning room when he said "While I finish setting the table, you can pick some music out." Breanne got off the couch and walked over to David's CD collection. She noticed they shared the same similar musical tastes, and suddenly came across the Backstreet Boys Millennium album. She smiled to herself, and remembered that it was her favorite Backstreet Boys album. David snuck up behind Breanne and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You see anything you like?" He asked. He noticed she had the Backstreet Boys in her hand and started laughing. "I haven't listened to that, but it was given to me when I did a photo shoot with the guys." "So you've actually met them?" "Yeah, and at first I thought they were a bunch of pretty boys, but once I did the shoot with him they seem really down to earth. I still don't think they have any true talent, but still..." "Hey now! I think those guys are very talented. " "Well you toured with them. So of course you're partial to them. But I'm just saying I have more tasteful opinions when it comes to music." David replied stoically. Breanne then pulled out a Britney Spears CD, and gawked at David. "What? Hey, I like Miss Spears." "You said you had more tasteful opinions when it comes to music. Puh-leez!" Breanne said. She gagged when she noticed it was Britney's first album too. "This isn't even her best album." "Okay, I got it because I think she's hot okay." David said as she grabbed the CD from Breanne. He decided to put in Edwin McCain. "So, um dinner's ready if you're in the mood to eat." He said. Breanne said she was feeling hungry and was escorted into the dinning room. The two ate their candlelit dinner and continued to get to know each other more. Breanne liked David's company, and felt he was a very nice guy. David felt the same way about Breanne, but was more physically attracted to her if anything. After dinner, David put the plates in the kitchen while Breanne headed back out to the living room. The song "I'll be" was playing, and Breanne face lit up because it was one of her favorite songs. She started to sing to herself when David entered the room. "You seem very fond of this song." He said. He walked over and stood next to her. "I am too. It's actually my favorite song." He revealed. David looked over at Breanne and put his hand on her shoulder. "Would you like to dance?" "You sure you can keep up with me?" Breanne replied playfully. David grinned and wrapped his arms around Breanne's waist. Breanne placed her hands on David's shoulders and began to slowly dancewith him. They both danced peacefully studying each other. Breanne instantly became hypnotized by David's hazel eyes. His eyes seemed very soothing to her, yet they also showed a sensual side to them. She only felt this way about one of person--Kevin. But Kevin was the furthest from her mind at that moment. David pulled Breanne closer to him, and brushed his thumb across her lips. Breanne's lips started to tremble a little as she noticed David leaning down to kiss her. She wanted to pull away, but it was too late by the time their lips made contact. Breanne closed her eyes and relaxed her body as she felt David's tender lips touch hers. She soon slightly opened her mouth and allowed the kiss to deepen. They passionately kissed for five minutes right before David carried Breanne to his couch. Breanne lied down on her back and David lied on top of her and passionately kissed her again. Breanne wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close and she enjoyed feeling him against her. David then pulled away and looked down at Breanne. He noticed she lied there a little bewildered. "Look I'm sorry for kissing you like that. But I've wanted to do that since I first laid eyes on you." David said softly. "You don't think we're moving too fast right? I won't pressure you into anything you don't want to do." "Thanks." Breanne said. She caught her breath, and leaned up to kiss David again. "I'll tell you when to stop okay." She said to him right before kissing him. They continued to kiss on the couch when Breanne's cell phone rang. Breanne jumped up and answered it while trying to catch her breath. "Run your mouth." She answered her phone. It was Kevin, who was out with AJ and Nick at a bowling alley. "I was just calling to tell you I'd be out all night with AJ and Nick. So I won't see you until tomorrow night." Kevin said. "What's going on tomorrow night?" "That anniversary surprise for Rachel. Don't tell me you forgot." "Thanks for the reminder." "Not a problem. Just remember to be at my place by 7:30, and remember to park a least a few houses down from my place. I don't want Rachel to see you." "Will do Kev. Is there anything else?" . "Yeah, why'd you sound out of breath when you picked up the phone?" Kevin asked trying to joke around. Breanne only groaned and hung up the phone. "Anything wrong?" David asked. "No, it was just someone reminding me of something I had to do tomorrow." Breanne said as she sat back down. Her back tensed up as she thought about the things to come tomorrow. David noticed her sitting funny, and he asked her if she wanted to go home. "Yeah actually that would be a great idea. I guess I'm just starting to get a big headache." As David was taking Breanne home, Kevin continued to chill with AJ and Nick at an all night bowling alley. He hung up the phone and walked back over to the table laughing. "Who'd you call?" Nick asked. "It was just someone that I'm seeing tomorrow night is all. I was reminding her we have plans." Kevin said. He didn't want to tell anyone what was going on, because it wasn't like him to be very dramatic about his personal life. "I already know what you're doing with Breanne." AJ stated. Kevin sat there puzzled. How could anyone know, he thought. He didn't tell anyone, but he figured Breanne told AJ what was going on. She was extremely close to AJ as well. "Did she tell you everything?" Kevin asked. "Just about. But don't worry I didn't say anything to anyone else okay." AJ replied. Nick sat there wondering what the two were talking about. "Are you going out on a date with her?" Nick asked. "What about Rachel?" "It's not a date!" Kevin yelled. "Breanne is like my sister man. Dating her would just be incredibly weird." "Whatever dude!" Nick said right before leaving the table and took his turn to bowl. "If she is like your sister, how come you're doing a sex tape with her?" AJ asked. "It's not a sex tape Alex!" Kevin snapped back. "Nothing sexual will be going on. I promise you." "I bet. But all I'm saying is that if I was in a situation like that with someone as beautiful as Breanne, I wouldn't be able to control myself." "Well that's the difference between me and you. I have self-control. I wouldn't sexually attack her." "You can't attack the willing." AJ said. Nick soon returned back to the table, and AJ left to bowl. Kevin only sat there and thought about what AJ said. What did he mean by the willing? Breanne didn't feel attracted to him, did she? Maybe he was too dumb to notice, or maybe AJ was just talking bullshit. |
