                                   LISSE-HOLLAND

Keukenhof Gardens, is  Tulip flowers paradise on the earth and a spectacular sight of varieties Tulip flowers fields as red or yellow carpets covered on the hectares of lands. Now approximately thousand varieties of Tulips are there. Moreover,  a lot of  Chrysanthemums and Hyacinths  are also exhibited . Keukenhof,  is located in a small village  named as Lisse, very close to Amsterdam

It was started in 1949 by the association of Tulip flower growers of  Holland presuming a common ground to show their flowers , for sale  and exchange of the bulbs. But, later on it  developed in to a big venture in the field of Tulip flowers and made a big garden of 80 acres of land and planted roughly  6 million bulbs in every  year. Now  it  provides beautiful & an ecstatic sight to approximately 10million visitors per year  from around the world. History tells us that on the present grounds of the Keukenhof the Countess and her entourage used to go hunting, whilst vegetables and herbs were grown here to be used in the kitchen of the Countess' castle. 'Keuken' in Dutch means kitchen and 'hof' means garden; which shows how the name was chosen in those days.

If anybody  gets a chance to visit  Holland , do not forget to spend one day in  Keukenhof Gardens, which will  be a good memorable dream for ever.
