The original uniform of the Eyes in the Myst Stable was a simple unit consisting of black slacks, and a blue jacket specially designed for comfort and flexibility with a one side buttoned flap of gold silk across the chest. Topped by a black half cape it was easily one of the fanciest uniforms on Solaris.
When the Eyes in the Myst became the Dragons Teeth suddenly money became tight and it became necessary to be able to replace uniforms quickly and easily. This called for a complete redesign. The new uniform retained the black slacks but changed to a simplar, blue jacket marked only by the gold running around the neck and down the zipper.
As their fortunes and fame grew it came time to design a new uniform. The new uniform was based heavily on the original uniform of the Eyes in the Myst stable, replacing the gold chest with one of varying color, based upon their function.
The latest uniform, adopted in 3060 was a bit of a change. The chest piece returned to being connected to the jacket though it no longer tried to imitate a seperate piece. The ranking marks were moved from the epalets of to the collar, while the sleeve tips, so long left colored for show, were finally given a function. The different colorings denoting what function the wearer performed. Shoulder pieces were added to provide a limited body armoring in personal combat, while also serving as function markers like the lower sleeves. A half cape could also be added, connecting to the underside of the shoulder pieces.
