Full Moon
Your face shines down
my pregnant mother
watching the movements
of her unborn child
Your face smiles into mine
I lay near you
my arms reaching
for your embrace
The light in your eyes
holds me close to you
You teach me your lessons
of natural living,
shuddering
as you let me make
the painful mistakes
my mind and heart
cling to you with the
love of a child
whose innocent words of prayer
are an attempt only to please you,
my Mother,
my Goddess,
allow me to worship you
in my own child-like way
