In Max�s hand is a small device with a red button. She presses the button and the topmost LCD screen start counting down from 10 and she starts punching the x-marked box. With each punch, the bottom screen counts.
Betsy watches closely as Max rapidly punches, �Would that helps her against Centipod?�
The three friends continue to watches as Max nonstop punches as the timer continues to countdown.
At a factory, explosions rage around. As people are running away in terror, Centipod, in his evolved Kombater form, walks toward the screaming populate.
Suddenly Centipod stops and starts punch one fist into the palm of the other, �Ah, yes, the power from these weaklings. I can feel it giving me life!� His heart bump to the surge of power he�s feeling.
�Centipod!� Kevin�s voice is heard.
Centipod turns to sees the three Rangers run up toward him.
�Only one of you this time?� Li wonders.
�It�ll only takes one of us to destroy the likes of you,� Centipod informs them.
�Fury Strike!� the Rangers cracks their knuckles and punch with their right.
Kevin morphs into Red Ranger, Max into the Yellow Ranger and Li into the Blue Ranger.
�As ferocious as a tiger, my might is unstoppable! Jungle Fury, Red Ranger!�
�As quick as a cheetah, my skill is unrivaled! Jungle Fury, Yellow Ranger!�
�As powerful as a jaguar, my technique is unmatched! Jungle Fury, Blue Ranger!�
�We will not let you go unopposed,� Red Ranger declares.
�Power Rangers Jungle Fury!�
Off to the side, Chemilo appears out of thin air and takes in what transpiring.
�Three Fury Rangers against one of the Poison Pack,� Chemilo says to herself. �They don�t have a chance.�
�I beat you before with the rest of the Poison Pack,� Centipod takes a fighting pose. �I�ll beat you without them!�
�Let�s the fun begin,� Chemilo whispers.
�Chi Metamorphosis!� Centipod takes a new fighting pose, before speeding up and repeating punches, in his monster form, Red Ranger in the stomach.
Red Ranger is send flying back, with Centipod run up to catches him. Red Ranger lands on the ground, rolling before come to a stop when Centipod catches up to him. Red Ranger looks up to see Centipod standing over him with a fist raise. Before Centipod could continue with the attack, Blue Ranger jump out of nowhere with his Fury Tonfas and hit Centipod with one of them, causing him to take couple steps back.
Blue Ranger follows through with another attack, but Centipod blocks it and counters with a punch, just as Red Ranger get back to his feet behind his friend. Centipod connects with his punch, sending Blue Ranger back into Red Ranger and the two fly several feet away.
Yellow Ranger finally catches up to them, with both Red and Blue Rangers having trouble to return to their feet.
�Kevin, Li,� Yellow Ranger says, worries, and then look at Centipod with a closed fist. �You�ll pay for this.�
Centipod rushes toward her, starting punching. The two deflect each other attacks. Then Yellow Ranger swings a punch which Centipod avoids and fires his own punch which Yellow Ranger blocks. Centipod continues to launches his own punches but Yellow Ranger blocks each of them, before landing her own punch. She then tries to lands more punches but each is block by Centipod, before Centipod lands a punch and sends Yellow Ranger flying into a warehouse.
Centipod rushes in after her. Yellow Ranger get to her feet, blocks a kick from Centipod and then goes into a barrel roll to avoid a second kick. She returns to her feet and block more punches from Centipod, before they get each other into a hold.
�You�re fast, but your speed can�t match mine,� Centipod tells her.
�Don�t underestimate me, Centipod,� Yellow Ranger says.
The two break the hold before punches each other and then launches another punch and miss. They turn to meet each other and both lands a punch on each other. They fall down and roll away in separate directions.
�This is leading us nowhere,� Centipod informs her. �There only one way to determine whoever is the quickest.�
�How that?� Yellow Ranger asks.
Centipod slams a fist into the open palm of his other hand, �A little game, of course. Are you in?� Centipod snaps a finger and large stone slab shoots up from the ground.
From the exit, comes in Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Chemilo.
�What�s going on?� Blue Ranger asks.
�It seems they going to have a game between the quick fists,� Chemilo explains. �Whoever hit it the most in ten seconds wins. And the slab falls down toward the loser.�
�So do you accept the challenge?� Centipod asks her.
�I do accept,� Yellow Ranger tells him.
Centipod and Yellow Ranger step in front of their respective sides of the slab.
�At my command you will begin,� Chemilo tells them.
Both Centipod and Yellow Ranger takes their respective fighting stances.
Chemilo raises her right arm up, �And begin!� She snaps her finger.
Centipod and Yellow Ranger start repeating punches their sides of the slab. At the top of the slab, a counter is counting the two�s punches. Red and Blue Rangers watch closely at the competition.
�Stop!� Chemilo yells, and the two immediate comes to a halt.
�But who won?� Red Ranger asks.
�Well, Max have nine hundred ninety-nine hits,� Blue Ranger explains, as he reads the counter.
�But,� Chemilo says, drawing the two Rangers� attentions. �Centipod has one thousand hits.�
The slab starts falling backward with Yellow Ranger walk back couple steps to avoid it.
�I-I lost,� Yellow Ranger says to herself.
�Max?� Blue Ranger says worries.
�Now, end this, Centipod!� Chemilo orders him.
�Not just yet,� Centipod tells her.
�What?� Chemilo says in confusion.
�I will let her recover from this lost, but I will destroy her,� Centipod tells her. �Come to the beach, at dawn. Come if you dare.�
Centipod starts walking before disappear in a flash of purple energy, Chemilo, who seems angry, also vanish.
�Max, you�re okay?� Red Ranger asks, with Yellow Ranger standing still, silent.
Back in the present, Max finishes punching as the device rings. Breathing heavy, Max looks up to see the counter had stopped at nine hundred ninety-nine.
�Not fast enough,� Max says.
Behind her, an older woman, wearing a fur coat and pearl necklace, walks through the entrance with the bells ring above her.
�So this why you left home?� the woman asks.
Max turns around to see her, with a shocked expression on her face, �Mom.�
�Mom?!� Kevin, Li, and Betsy say in equal shock.
�Maxine,� she says, with an elegant voice.
�What you�re doing here?� Max asks.
�I think its time to see where you went to,� she answers.
�It been months, mom,� Max says. �And you choose to come, now?�
�Maxine, maybe we should talk about this in privately,� Max�s mother says, as she glares toward Max�s friends.
�Oh, yeah, I-I got a lot to do,� Li says in a rush.
�M-me too,� Betsy says in a rush.
�W-we�re really busy,� Kevin says in a rush.
All three, as they�re talking, walk backward around the corner, toward the secret entrance out of sight. Max and her mother return their attention to each other.
�So why are you really here?� Max asks.
�To see if you had changed your mind,� she answers.
�Gosh mom, you won�t even pretend that you here, just to see how I�m doing,� Max says, angry.
�You know I always tell it as it is,� she retorts.
�That�s true,� Max says. �When I was seven, you tell me Santa Claus doesn�t exist.�
�There no need for you to believe something that doesn�t exists,� her mother explains.
�I guess something never changes,� Max says.
�I hadn�t changed,� she starts. �I still don�t understand why you left home.�
�I want to return, but I can�t!� Max says, getting angrier. �You disowned me!�
�It because of your foolish idea to train to fight,� Max�s mom says with increasing anger in her voice.
�It not foolish,� Max tells her. �You have no idea what�s going on!�
�I do know you�re heir to the Anderson name,� she starts. �The richest family in Crestwood City and you left that to fight.�
�I don�t care about money, I care about helping people,� Max explains. �And thanks to my training, I can help people.�
�I planned your future,� she starts. �And it didn�t involve helping strangers.�
Within the HQ, hidden in the Dojo, Kevin, Li, Betsy, as well as Jean and M?o are watching the security footage on the computer and sees Max�s mother heads toward the entrance.
�Hash,� Kevin says.
�Hash is an underestimated,� M?o says.
�I think she�s lucky her mother is around for her to argue with,� Jean says. �Remember my parents disappeared when our house were on fire.�
�I didn�t know that,� Betsy says, Jean nods in agreement. �Then again I didn�t know Max was rich.�
�She not,� Li says.
�Li right,� M?o says. �The Anderson family is the richest family in Crestwood City, but she left that behind. When I approaches and tells her about, well, everything.�
�So both of you have the same problem?� Betsy asks.
�Not me, my parents work oversea, and I live with my grandfather, the martial arts teacher,� Li tells her.
�And you know my mom, whatever makes me happy,� Kevin explains, then points at the computer screen. �Look like Max left.�
All of them look back at the computer.
�What,� Li says in surprises. �But what�s about the rematch with Centipod?�
�I think she got other things on her mind,� Betsy tells him.
�Max won�t be ready to take on Centipod again, till she defeats the enemy within,� M?o explains.
On top of a small bridge over an equal small lake, Max is leaning at the edge of the bridge, looking at her reflection in the lake.
�Maybe I should go back, I couldn�t beat Centipod before, nothing will change before dawn,� Max remembers her match with Centipod. �Argh! I don�t know what�s to do!�
Max drops to her knees, as from behind a tree on the other side of the bridge, appears Chemilo.
�So the little cheetah girl is having an identity crisis,� Chemilo watches Max with her arms crossed. �Centipod might want to wait till dawn to finish her off, but I�m less patience.� Chemilo snaps her fingers.
Max continues to look at her reflection, when her eyes become cat-like in appearance, at the same time she see two Kombaters behind in her in the reflection. She slowly takes a firm grip on the bridge then kicks off, launches double back kicks at the two Kombaters, knocking them into the other side of the bridge.
Max returns to her feet and see there a couple Kombaters on both sides, �I�m really not in the mood.�
She takes a fighting pose, and then a Kombater launches a chop at her. She blocks and kicks it in the chest, then back kicks a Kombater behind her. She avoids a punch, knock it away and kick its owner, knocking the Kombater into the lake. Another Kombater swings around a spear, before stabbing it at Max. She step back to avoid it, she grabs the spear and pull it, flipping the Kombater into the lake. Max then swing around the spear, knocking the rest of the Kombaters over the sides of the bridge. She takes a fighting pose with the spear and the Kombaters explodes into purple fire.
Max drops the spear, �That�s help.�
Chemilo continues to watch behind the tree, with couple more Kombaters, when she notices Max�s mother walking through the park.
�Figures I come down here, and my car breaks down,� Max�s mother says.
�Have some fun, I�m done here,� Chemilo says to the Kombaters before disappearing.
Max returns her attention to the reflection in the lake, �Still, what I going to do about my mother.�
Then she hears a scream, Max quickly turns around to see her mother surrounds by Kombaters.
�Mom!� Max yells, and then cracks her knuckles. �Fury Strike!� She punches the air.
Max morphs into the Yellow Ranger. She then jump straight at them and kicks a Kombater squarely in the chest and then lands in front of her mother. Yellow Ranger takes a fighting stance, which seems familiar to her mother.
Months before Max began her training with M?o, Max�s mother watches at the doorway as her daughter is taking the same fighting stance.
�Maxine?� her mother says in surprises.
Yellow Ranger then blocks a punch from a Kombater before deliver a punch to its chest. She blocks another punch with her leg, punch the attacker twice. She then catches a punch and swings around the arm she used to catch it and punch the attacker. Then a Kombater rushes her with a spear, she kick up the spear and fires rapid punches at the Kombater�s chest. It falls down with the spear lands on the ground next to its head. Suddenly all the fallen Kombater explodes in purple fire.
�Maxine?� her mother says again.
Yellow Ranger turns to face her mother and cracks her knuckles, �Power down.� She morphs back into Max.
�You�re a Power Ranger?�
�I�m sorry, I want to tell you,� Max tries to explains. �But I just couldn�t.�
�So this, what you means by helping people,� Max�s mother says.
�I didn�t know about the whole Power Ranger thing when I left,� Max says. �But I do know there a dark force that could hurt a lot of people. And I�m one of the few peoples who can do anything about it.�
�This isn�t what I envisioned for you,� she tells her.
�I understands, mom,� Max starts. �But this is my destiny, as well as something I want to do. I hope you would understand that.� Max then notices the sun is setting over the horizon. �It�s almost dawn.�
�What?� she asks.
�I need to go,� Max says, start walking away. �Bye mom!� she yells before turn around and speed into a run.
Inside Leogar�s throne room, Leogar is seat meditating, while Centipod, in his evolved Kombater form, stands several feet away, waving his arms around. Suddenly Centipod is bump aside when Chemilo appears out of nowhere.
�Ah, Chemilo,� Centipod says. �Aren�t you going to watches my match with the Yellow Ranger?�
Chemilo turns to faces him, �There shouldn�t be a match between you two. She should have perished earlier.�
�Ah, you know nothing about real sport,� Centipod starts to explain. �It�s about showing once strength against another opponent.�
�If you going to show your strength, then you better leave now,� Leogar tells him.
�Right, I�m on my way,� Centipod says, leaving.
Chemilo turns to face Leogar, �Why you let him get away with that?�
�It doesn�t matter to me how he do it, as long as he feels the world with despair and chaos,� Legoar explains, leaving Chemilo to wonders about his words.
As the sun is closes to setting, Centipod is standing on the beach, waiting for his opponent to arrive. He punches one fist into the palm of his other hand, repeating when he sees her: Max slowly approaching, determined to prove to her mother that what she is doing is the right thing.
�Finally, ready for your end?� Centipod�s mocking his soon-to-be opponent.
�This will end,� Max tells him, and then raises a fist and starts whispering. �I will show you, mom.�
�Let�s get the show on the road,� Centipod says, follows by getting into a fighting pose. �Chi Metamorphosis!�
Max cracks her knuckle, �Fury Strike!�
Max morphs into the Yellow Ranger. As the purple fire fads, Centipod had returned to his monster form.
The two opponents go into fighting poses.
�This had a long way coming, Ranger,� Centipod tells her.
�I have to agree,� Yellow Ranger says.
Centipod goes into a new fighting stance, follows by Yellow Ranger entering another fighting stance. The two are staring each other down, when Kevin and Li arrive to watch from the sidelines.
�Max arrived already,� Kevin says.
�Let�s just hope she ready,� Li hopes. �Both physically and mentally.�
Suddenly the tides reach their feet, and the two combatants rush each other. They start launching fierce and repeated punches, slamming fists against fists.
�I never see such intension,� Kevin watches in awe. �They�re blows to blows.�
�Yeah, it would seems Max had find her equal,� Li tells him. �But no way he�s her superior.�
�Agree,� Kevin says.
Yellow Ranger and Centipod continuing exchanging equal blows when suddenly Yellow Ranger gains the advantage, hitting Centipod and sending him fly backward. Centipod rolls couple feet upon landing, before stopping and look back up at his opponent.
�Impossible!� Centipod yells in surprise. Yellow Ranger returns her outreach fist to her side, as Centipod returns to his feet. �It can�t be! I can�t lose!�
�That where you wrong!� a familiar voice is heard, when suddenly the slab from before lands in front of Centipod.
The three Rangers look to the source of the voice to see M?o.
�Sensei!� all three says in unison.
�Take a good look at that, if you would,� M?o instructs Centipod.
Centipod looks down at the slab and then flips it over to Yellow Ranger�s side.
�What?!� Centipod looks in surprise that all the punches from Yellow Ranger�s attacks had form an imprinted of Centipod�s body.
�When you fight, you throw as much punches as you can,� M?o explains, remembering the scene of the two fighting a moment ago. �But Max is different. She imagines her opponent and doesn�t waste any punches, unlike you, who misses more often then you should and leaves yourself open.�
�Enough!� Centipod slams his fists onto the ground in anger.
�I realized it now,� Yellow Ranger says to herself. �My mom might don�t like what�s I�m doing, but it doesn�t matter. I will fight the School of H?i �n and defeat them!�
�I had enough!� Centipod yells.
The Rangers turn to see Centipod, who then returns to his feet. �I had enough of you and I had enough of your preachy teacher. I will destroy all of you.� Centipod starts rushing toward them.
�Fury Staff!� Yellow Ranger combines her two Fury Tonfas into a staff.
Centipod throws a punch, Yellow Ranger places one end of her staff into the ground and uses to cartwheel herself to avoid Centipod�s attack. Upon landing on her feet, Yellow Ranger twirls around her staff and strike it across Centipod�s chest. She then strikes the staff back across Centipod�s chest. Centipod falls backward into a roll, but quickly returns to his feet. Yellow Ranger twirls around her staff again and then out reaches it, extending the end of the staff into Centipod, with yellow electric running off the staff. Yellow Ranger runs toward her opponent, with the staff shrinking as she runs, finally reaching him.
�I also had enough,� Yellow Ranger twirls back her staff launching Centipod into the air, over her head. �So let�s end this!�
Centipod crashes onto the ground and falls into a roll, when Chemilo shows up.
�I�m always late,� Chemilo says. �Now, let�s see if this worth the wait.�
�That�s it!� Centipod announces. �I�ll show you my true power!�
Centipod takes his bag off, leaving the Rangers to look on in shock. Centipod�s true head resemble a large centipede wraps around a head.
�Disgusting!� Yellow Ranger says.
�Gross!� Kevin says.
�That�s just not right!� Li says.
�I summon the chi in my body, make me grow!� Centipod yells, suddenly becomes cover in purple fire and grows to a gigantic size. �With my true power reveals, I will destroy all of you!�
�We�ll see about that!� Yellow Ranger says, and then turns to her friends. �Let�s do this!�
�Right,� Kevin and Li says in unison, and then cracks their knuckles. �Fury Strike!�
Kevin morphs into Red Ranger and Li morphs into Blue Ranger.
�Zord Summon!� all the three Rangers jump up and enters their respective zords as they appear. The three zords then combine to become the Fury Megazord. Centipod takes a fighting pose across from the Fury Megazord, also taking a fighting stance, �Fury Megazord, Full Power!�
Centipod launches a punch.
Within the Megazord cockpit, Yellow Ranger launches a counterpunch.
Centipod and Fury Megazord�s punch collides with each other, as they launch continuing punches at each other. Each opponent�s attacks block by the other�s attacks. Finally Centipod catches each of Fury Megazord�s fists.
�Give up!� Centipod says, as the two exchanges spots. �You will never win!�
Inside the cockpit, each of the Rangers is struggling against their enemy.
�Let go!� Red Ranger commands.
Suddenly, they feel feedback of an attack.
Fury Megazord feels the same feedback.
�What�s going on?� Yellow Ranger asks, confused as to the source of the attack.
Fury Megazord realizes that Centipod�s head transformed into an enormous large centipede.
�HAHA!� Centipod laughs. �What�s wrong, you look like you just saw a ghost!�
�His head became a centipede!� Red Ranger announces the obvious.
�With this form, I can�t lose!� Centipod says, before striking Fury Megazord with his head, causing Fury Megazord to break free from Centipod�s grip.
Centipod strike the megazord again with his head while laughing, and then Centipod strikes the megazord two more time with his head.
Chemilo looks up as she watches the fight, �Interesting. This Centipod�s power is more impressive then I have realized. But is he strong enough?�
Centipod then wraps his head around Fury Megazord, restricting its arms.
Inside the cockpit, the Rangers are struggling as their arms are also restricted.
�Time for the final squeeze!� Centipod says, follows by laughing.
�It won�t end like this,� Red Ranger announces.
�We won�t be defeated by the likes of you,� Blue Ranger explains.
�We will win!� Yellow Ranger says, and then presses her right fist into her open palm.
�Jungle Fury!� all three Rangers yell in unison.
Fury Megazord breaks free and grabs Centipod�s head, then starts twisting it and Centipod�s body around as the megazord�s torso starts spinning.
The Rangers are spinning around before stopping and releasing their clenched hands.
Fury Megazord let go, causing Centipod to falls onto the ground. Centipod rolls into a stop with his head back to normal. Fury Megazord goes into a fighting stance and extends its arms to its side.
�Fury Fist!� all the three Rangers yells in unison.
Fury Megazord runs toward its opponent with its torso spinning, as Centipod returns to his feet. The megazord hits Centipod several times, before spins past him. The megazord then stops and goes into another fighting stance.
�Never challenges the School of Li�ng,� Red Ranger says.
�Because no matter what you tries,� Blue Ranger says.
�You will always lose,� Yellow Ranger says.
Fury Megazord then takes its final fighting pose as Centipod turns into a statue behind it and explodes.
The next day at the H?i �n Mountain, Scorpioling holds up Centipod�s bag.
�Ah, poor little Centipod,� Scorpioling says with a mocking tone. �The little fool that went boom.� Scorpioling tosses the bag and catches it with her other hand while laughing.
Gecgong grabs the bag from Scorpioling and holds it over his head, �Forget that oversize worm.� Gecgong, while holding the bag in one hand, waves around his second arm and walks around Scorpioling. �He just dangled from the line of a fish pole.�
�Why don�t you join him,� Scorpioling answers.
Gecgong walks away from her with his hands spread out, �Ah! You�re no fun.�
All the while, Snaking is leading against the wall with his arms crossed, �Centipod was destroyed because he didn�t finish the job when he got the chance.�
Gecgong walks toward Snaking, �Big talk, but you didn�t destroy the Rangers when you got the chance, either.� Gecgong spins away from him and then stops with his arms spread upward, �Instead they were saved from the twister from that Oz movie.� He turns to see to Toall seating on the steps, take a seat next to him and place his hand on Toall�s head. �And what�s your problem? Did the fly go down the wrong pipe?�
�Buzz off,� Toall tells him.
Suddenly Gecgong is pushes off the step and forces onto the ground; Toall stands up in response, while Chemilo appears out of nowhere.
Chemilo crosses her arms, �You all are fools, standing around here while the Power Rangers are left to celebrate.�
�Well, not me,� Gecgong tells her.
�Meaning?� Chemilo asks.
�I will destroy the Power Rangers,� Gecgong says.
At the Dojo, within the secret HQ, Kevin, Li, M?o, Betsy, and Jean are watching Max and her mother talking on the security monitor again, this time with popcorn.
�Good popcorn,� Kevin says.
�Can use some butter,� M?o says.
�Just a pinch,� Jean agrees.
�I don�t want to have this conversation again,� Max tells her mom.
�Neither do me,� Max�s mom says, as Max crosses her arms and look down. �So maybe it would be better if we agree to disagree.�
Max uncrosses her arms, �I-I don�t understands.�
�You stay here and when you�re ready, you can home,� Max�s mom says.
�So, I can come home?� Max asks.
�I never really disowned you, Maxine,� Max�s mom explains. �Tempers just flashes and,� she pauses as she searches for the correct words. �Yes, you can home, when ether you want.�
�Thanks, mom,� Max hugs her.
�This doesn�t mean I accept what you�re doing,� she tells her daughter, as she returns her hug. �Just that it�s what you want to do.�
�That all I wants,� Max explains.
Inside the HQ, the group watching are teary eyes.
�I love a happy ending,� Betsy says.
�Me too,� Li says, and then holds up an empty bowl. �Do we have any more popcorn?�
Everyone starts laughing, when the alert signal is heard from the computer, as Kevin and Li�s eyes become cat-like.
�It�s Gecgong,� Jean says, as she looks at the monitor.
�We�re on the way,� Kevin says, as he and Li leave.
Betsy is watching her friends leaving, �I guess yesterday were one down, four to go.�
�It will only gets tougher from here on out,� M?o explains. �That one moment of laugher might just be one of the few moments of peace they will see for a long time.�
On the side of the building, Gecgong, in his monster form, is standing on the side of a skyscraper, looking down into a window. Inside is an office full of people panicking due to the sight outside.
Gecgong knees down to takes a closer look, �What�s with those people?� Gecgong walks around without taking his eyes off the window. �They act like they never seen someone on the side of a building before.�
Below on street level, the three Ranger teens arrive and sees Gecgong.
�There he is!� Kevin points it out to his friends.
�Good job at stating the obvious,� Li mocks him.
Gecgong straights back up and start walks back toward the ground, �Bout time you shows up. It seems like I had been waiting forever. Now let�s play.� Gecgong jumps off the side of the building and lands in front of the teenagers. �Why don�t we skip the familiarities and get to the fun part.�
�We got something in common,� Li says, as he and his friends go into their fighting stances.
All three cracks their knuckles, �Fury Strike!� They then punch with their right fist. Kevin morphs into Red Ranger, Max morphs into Yellow Ranger, and Li morphs into Blue Ranger.
�Here we go,� Gecgong announces.
Red Ranger swings his Fury Nunchaku at Gecgong, who leads back to avoid the attack. Another swing is avoid as Gecgong leads forward, follows by a leg sweep which Gecgong jumps over and lands back on the side of the building.
Yellow Ranger and Blue Ranger runs to Red Ranger�s side as they look up at Gecgong.
�Not this again!� Red Ranger says, in frustration. �I�m tire of this, now get down here!�
