Samantha enters her place of employment, BookZ, to find her friends. Kenny, also her coworker, is behind the counter reading a book they got overstocked. Holly is looking at one of the book shelves and listening, on her ipod, to a song from, the popular teenage pop star, Kelly Parston�s new album. David is just coming out from the backroom probably with Henry in the secret computer room looking at some new tech or something.
Kenny looks up to see Samantha had entered and realizes she looks nervous about something. But before Kenny can find the courage and then think of something to say to her, David spots her first.
�Hi, Samantha, what�s up?� David asks, causing Holly to notice her and removes her ipod earplugs and turn it off.
�Hi, guys,� Samantha says, as she walks away from the entrance, obvious nervous about something.
�Something�s wrong?� Holly asks, having realizes how nervous she is.
�I guess I�m just a bit nervous about my date with Jeremy,� Samantha explains, with Kenny looks depress for a second when she mentions her date.
�What is it to be nervous about?� David asks. �I been on a ton of dates and I was never nervous.�
�Not everyone tries to get in The Guinness Book of World Records for most dating in a single season,� Holly tells David.
�It just that I never been on a date before, so I nervous,� Samantha says. �I mean, I want it to go well.�
�I remember been nervous on my first date, but then I think my date was more nervous,� Holly says. �He spills popcorn all over his self.�
�What about you, Kenny?� Samantha asks him, surprising Kenny by her question. �Was you nervous on your first date.�
�Hum, I never been on a date,� Kenny tells her.
�Really?� Samantha says, surprised someone�s so nice hadn�t been on a date.
�Well, Kenny is still fifteen years old,� Holly says, not realizing why Samantha surprises.
�So?� David asks. �I went on my first date when I was fourteen.�
�Not everyone starts dating when they hit puberty,� Holly tells him.
Suddenly, Henry rushes out of the backroom, catching everyone�s attention.
�Everyone, there�s a demon attack in the city,� Henry tells them.
The four teenagers start to head toward the backroom to get to the secret room.
�Hmm, maybe a demon fight would calm my nerves,� Samantha says, as they enter the backroom.
Within quick moments, the four friends had transformed into their armor and mount their Battle Cycles.
�Battle Cycles, Battle Ready!� The Battle Defenders start down the long tunnel.
The Battle Defenders are driving their Battle Cycles down the long tunnel till they reach a light. Sudden, the back wall of an alley slides back, revealing an opening in the ground, then the Battle Defenders ride their Battle Cycles out of the opening and down the long road, as the back wall closes over the opening.
Meanwhile on a city street, a grown woman cowers in fear in front of a small dog that just looks at her confused.
�St-stay away!� the woman cries, fearing the small animal.
Across the street a man is on a ladder against his house. The man grabs his arms around the ladder, terrified.
�Someone help! Someone helps me!� the man screams.
Not too far away, watching the scared people is a large green creature with a red headband, blue gauntlets, and a brown belt. The creature is known only as Fearor.
�Yeah, be afraid,� Fearor says, pleases. �Be afraid till your heart just can�t take it anymore.� Fearor starts laughing when he hears the Battle Defenders� cycles and turns around to see them coming to a stop and dismount their cycles. �Ah, the Battle Defenders, I presume.�
�You presumed correctly,� David tells him.
�So what�s your game?� Holly asks.
�Be careful, everyone,� Henry�s voice is heard through the com link in the Battle Defenders� helmets. �His name is Fearor and he can intensify someone�s fears to the point of them dying of a heart attack.�
�You scare people to death,� Kenny says to Fearor.
�Exactly,� Fearor tells him. �And I senses great fear in one of you. Now which one is it?�
�It doesn�t matter,� David says. �You won�t be around long enough for it�s to matter.�
�We�ll see,� Fearor stretches out his arms and fires green blasts at the Battle Defenders from his fists.
The Battle Defenders roll out of the way of the explosions caused by Fearor�s attack. Holly looks up to see Fearor standing over her and he pulls Holly to her feet by grabbing her arms.
�Ah, you afraid you will lose your best friend,� Fearor says. �Impressive, but not strong enough.�
�Sorry to disappoint you,� Holly says, trying to kick him but Fearor jumps high up, leaving Holly confuses.
David had returned to his feet when Fearor lands behind him and grabs David by one arm.
�Hey,� David says, surprised.
�You�re afraid you�ll fall in love and end up divorce,� Fearor says.
�Stay out of my mind,� David says, then tries to spin around and hit Fearor with a backhand but Fearor jumps high up causing David to spin around and falls on the ground.
Kenny returns to his feet when Fearor lands behind him and grabs Kenny from behind.
�What the?� Kenny says, surprised.
�You�re afraid you won�t be able to expresses your true feelings in time,� Fearor tells him, leaving Kenny�s speechless. �I think we�re getting closer.� Fearor jumps high up, causing Kenny to fall forward.
Samantha looks up to see Fearor had landed in front of her and she returns to her feet.
�I think we got a winner,� Fearor says, places one hand on Samantha�s helmeted head as blue energy runs down Fearor�s arms into Samantha�s helmet.
Kenny looks up to see his friend in trouble and rushes to his feet and toward them.
�GET AWAY FROM HER!� Kenny yells, before presses the �2� button on his Battle Gauntlet. �Battle Saber, Battle Ready!� Kenny�s weapon appears in his hand and he raises and gets ready to launches a downward strike at Fearor�s outstretched arm when Fearor sees him coming and jumps high up, avoiding Kenny�s attack. Kenny realizes Fearor is gone when he sees Samantha falls to her knees as David and Holly walk over to their friends. �Samantha, are you okay?�
�I think so,� Samantha says, placing a hand on her helmeted head.
�Well its look like Fearor is long gone,� David says. �We better head back.�
�Okay, besides I need to washes my arms, I don�t believe that oversized frog touches me,� Holly says.
�Let�s go,� Kenny says, offering a hand to Samantha to help her up.
Samantha then notices the Battle Cycles, �O-On those?� Samantha points toward the Battle Cycles.
�Hum,� Kenny looks at the cycles before looks back at Samantha. �Yeah, of course.�
�I-I can�t,� Samantha says, backing away while still on the ground. �D-Don�t make me, please don�t make me.�
�Samantha?� Kenny says, confuses, as he, David, and Holly look at her, puzzled.
The Battle Defenders return back at the secret room behind BookZ, with Samantha�s Battle Cycle runs on an autopilot program as Samantha rides with Holly with her arms clutched around Holly�s waist.
After they came to a stop, Holly notices Samantha is loosing her hold, �Its okay, Samantha. We had stopped.�
�O-Okay,� Samantha says, before slowly letting go of Holly�s waist and then slowly dismounts the Battle Cycle. Samantha presses the �zero� button on her Battle Gauntlet and says, �Revert.�
Samantha lets out a shriek when her armor disassembles and reassembles as her Transformer, which falls to the ground.
�Its okay, Samantha,� Holly picks up the fallen Transformer and hands it to Samantha. �Just take a seat on the table.�
Samantha walks out of the tunnel and sees the table, �Hum, its too high. I think I will just stand.�
�Revert,� Kenny, Holly, and David press the �zero� button on their Battle Gauntlets, causing their armors to disassembles and reassembles as their Transformers, which they all catch in midair.
�I�m confused,� David says. �Is Samantha afraid of heights or motorcycles?�
�They�re just basic fears that Samantha holds, like how a lot of kids are afraid of the dark,� Henry explains. �But this will worsen if Samantha is confronted by her worse fear at the moment.�
�What you mean �at the moment?�� David asks.
�People�s fears change as they grow and gains new life experiences,� Henry continues to explain. �Someone whose worse fear was spiders could become more afraid of flying after 9/11. Do you know what Samantha�s worse fear at the moment could be?�
�Her first date with Jeremy,� Kenny says, catching Samantha�s attention.
�You really think that would be her worse fear?� Holly says.
�I-I can�t go out with him,� Samantha says, becoming terrified. �W-What if I say something stupid or spill something or what if he wants to kiss me. I-I can�t.�
Holly notices Kenny looks depresses when Samantha mentions kissing.
Meanwhile, within the Horsemen�s dark cave, while Death, War, Famine, and Greling at the back of the cave, Conquest is pacing back and forth in front of Fearor.
�I send you so people will be conquered by their worst fears,� Conquest says, obvious upset.
�Yes, sir,� Fearor says, afraid that his master is so angry.
�Then explain why, when you faced the Battle Defenders, you didn�t kill them!� Conquest yells.
�Well, Battle Pink has the biggest fear at the moment,� Fearor starts to explain. �So I affect her with my powers and she will be so consumed by her fears that wouldn�t be able to life a finger to fight. And with only three Battle Defenders to contend with, they can easy be destroyed and meanwhile little pinky will die of fright.�
�Very well, but you better not fail,� Conquest tells him.
�Yes, sir,� Fearor says.
�Fearor, your biology is similar to frogs, right?� Death asks.
�Hum, yes, sir,� Fearor says. �Why you ask?�
�Well, if you fail to kill the Battle Defenders, then I will have frog legs for dinner tonight,� Death explains, with Fearor gulps out of fright.
Back at BookZ, Jeremy enters through the door and sees that no one is there.
�Samantha?� Jeremy�s calling for his date.
Inside the secret lab, everyone hears Jeremy�s voice, which causes Samantha to step away from the entrance in fright.
�Its Jeremy,� Holly announces the obvious.
�He must be here to pick up Samantha,� David guesses.
�Samantha�s in no position to go out to see him and we can�t let him come into the backroom and find the lab, the entrance is still open,� Henry explains.
�I�ll cover, close the entrance behind me,� David says, before leaving the lab.
Tired of waiting, Jeremy starts to motion toward the backroom entrance, when David comes out of the backroom. David closes the backroom door as the secret entrance to the lab swings to a close.
�You work here too?� Jeremy asks, surprised.
�Hum, I was helping with arranging the inventory in the back,� David lies. �As a favor.�
�Where�s Samantha?� Jeremy asks.
�She�s also helping with the inventory,� David lies. �She�s been out when she�s done.� David then notices the CDs in stock. �Hum, so had you heard the new Kelly Parston�s album? �Old Flame,� is my favorite.�
�It�s okay,� Jeremy says.
Meanwhile in the secret lab, Henry, Kenny, and Holly are facing the large computer while Samantha is seating on the ground in front of the table.
�Well, its look like she must either face her worse fear or Fearor must be destroyed,� Henry explains.
�Consider how much the spell had affected Samantha, fighting Fearor might be the easer of the two options,� Holly says.
�If he would stay still,� Kenny adds.
�Well, it�s only a matter of time till he shows his ugly head,� Holly says. �So let�s go and find him. Let David keeps Jeremy busy.�
�Fighting Fearor might be easier then what�s David is doing,� Henry jokes, as Kenny and Holly walk over to their Battle Cycles.
�Transformation,� Kenny and Holly say as they presses the triangle button on their Transformers, causing them to break apart and reassembles on Kenny and Holly�s bodies as their armors. The two mounts their cycles, �Battle Cycles, Battle Ready!� Kenny and Holly rides down the long tunnel as Samantha watches, still afraid.
In a quick moment, Kenny and Holly, still riding their Battle Cycles, see Fearor in the middle of a street, watching a man running down the street after seeing a spider. Fearor then sees Kenny and Holly riding toward him.
�Ah, only two, this will be more easy then I thought,� Fearor says, then he shoots green blasts from his arms at the two Battle Defenders.
�Let�s play a game of leapfrog,� Kenny suggests.
Kenny and Holly jump their Battle Cycles into the air, dodging over the attacks and over Fearor�s head. Kenny and Holly land behind Fearor and they skid to a stop. The two quickly dismounts their cycles and face their enemy.
�Nice, but you will have to do more then that to stop me,� Fearor tells them.
�We got more,� Kenny tells him as he and Holly presses �2� button on their Battle Gauntlets. �Battle Saber, Battle Ready!�
�Battle Axe, Battle Ready!�
Kenny and Holly ready their weapons as they appear in their hands, before starts charging Fearor. But Fearor slams a fist onto the ground causing a green shockwave on the ground leading to Kenny and Holly having trouble remains steady.
�Now that we had rocked,� Fearor says, straighten up. �Let�s roll!�
Fearor jumps toward Holly, throwing a punch. Holly tries to block with her axe, but Fearor still manage to send her flying backward. Kenny able to remains stable but before he could attack, Fearor kick in the stomach. Kenny, still been affected by the shockwave, fall down easy.
Holly had recovered and rushes toward Fearor with her weapon readied. Fearor rushes toward Holly and dodge an axe strike before avoiding another attack. Holly tries another attack with her axe, but Fearor punches the axe, sending it flying. Fearor then punches Holly repeating, before firing a final punch which sends green shockwaves from the point of impact and causes to fall down.
Fearor looks up to see Kenny had jumped toward him with his Battle Saber rose. Fearor jumps up toward Kenny and catches the sword before he could be hit and then delivers a strong punch in Kenny�s guts, emitting a green shockwave from the impact, and sends him flying and forced to let go of his sword. Fearor lands on his feet as Kenny crashes on his back. Fearor looks at the Battle Saber before throwing it away.
�Now let the real fun begins,� Fearor says.
Back at BookZ, David and Jeremy are still alone, while Jeremy is waiting for Samantha.
�So, read any good books lately?� David asks an annoyed Jeremy. Suddenly a phone ringing is heard before David realizes it�s his Transformer. �Oh, it�s me. Excuse me.� David answers his Transformer, �Yes?�
�David,� Henry says on the other line. �Kenny and Holly need your help.�
�Okay, but what about Jeremy?� David asks.
�I�ll keep him busy, but you better hurry,� Henry says.
�Okay,� David says, before closing his Transformer and faces Jeremy. �I need to go; I�ll just get something of mine in the backroom and leaves through the back entrance.� David opens the backroom door. �Oh, and I�ll tell Samantha you are waiting for her.�
David closes the door behind himself as Jeremy nods his head. Couple a seconds later, Jeremy notices the backroom door is opening and thinks its Samantha till he sees Henry, who closes the door behind himself.
�Samantha is almost done, she�s a very hard worker,� Henry tells Jeremy, before thinking of something to say. �So, read any good books lately?� Henry says to Jeremy, who becomes annoyed again.
In only couple moments, David had joined the fight. He had jumped up with his Battle Lance readied. David strikes down at Fearor with his lance, but Fearor dodges it. David swings around his lance and tries again, but Fearor dodges again. David tries two more attacks as he swings around his weapon, but Fearor continues to dodge them.
�Will you stay still?!� David say, angry.
�I got a better idea,� Fearor says, before launching a punch.
David tries to block with his Battle Lance but a green shockwave emitted from the point of impact and causes David to fly backward. David lands on the ground as Kenny and Holly regroup around him.
�Nice rescue,� Holly mocks.
�Aw, shut up,� David says, annoyed.
Meanwhile at the secret lab behind BookZ, Samantha, still seating on the ground in front of the table, is watching the fight on the computer monitor.
�Oh my god, they�re in trouble,� Samantha says, shocked to see her friends in trouble. �They�re going to die.�
Back at the fight, Fearor delivers quick punches to Kenny, Holly, and David, sending them flying backward as green shockwaves emitted from the points of impact. As the three Battle Defenders land on the ground, they look up to see Fearor slowly walks toward them.
�Since I�m a demon, I don�t believe in Heaven,� Fearor says. �So I guess I�m sending you to the Underworld.� Suddenly a laser arrow hits Fearor, knocking him off his feet and as he tries to regroup back on his feet. �What the?!�
Fearor, Kenny, Holly, and David look up to see Samantha, in her armor and her Battle Bow in her hand, walking toward them.
�Samantha!� Kenny says, as he, Holly, and David are both happy and surprise to see their friend.
�Impossible, your fears should have paralyzed you,� Fearor says to Samantha.
�I am afraid of going on my first date,� Samantha says, lowering her helmeted head before raising it again to face Fearor head on. �But I�m more afraid of seeing my friends killed.�
�Don�t matter,� Fearor says as he returns to his feet. �I will still kill you!�
�Bring it, Froggy,� Samantha says, readies her Battle Bow.
Fearor races toward Samantha, who starts to fire laser arrows at him. But Fearor punches each of the laser arrows; causing small green shockwaves as each arrow explode in midair. Samantha then tosses her bow up in the air and then performs couple back flips to avoid a punch from Fearor. Upon stop flipping, Samantha lands crouching, then Fearor punch the ground, causing a green shockwave to emit from the point of impact. But Samantha jumps up; leading to the shockwave sending her flying high up and Samantha catches her Battle Bow as she passes.
�Wow, because Samantha jumps just when the shockwave hit, it propels her high in the air,� David says.
�Two can play that game,� Fearor jumps high up after Samantha
In defense, Samantha starts shooting laser arrows as Fearor who punches away each laser arrows as he flies toward Samantha, who started to fall back down.
�David, your lance!� Kenny instructs.
�Right,� David swings his Battle Lance around before throwing it, causing his lance to spin as its flies.
The Battle Lance flies at Fearor, which hits him as it passes. Then the laser arrows start hitting Fearor, causing him to flies back to the ground, hitting the ground. Samantha lands just couple feet away from Fearor, then Kenny, Holly, and David, who got his lance back, regroup around her.
�Good work, Samantha,� Holly congrats her.
�Thanks, and thanks David for your help,� Samantha says to David.
�Thanks Kenny, it was his idea,� David explains.
�Oh, well thanks, Kenny,� Samantha says.
�Hum, well, we are a team,� Kenny says, acting like he�s embarrasses.
They turn around to see Fearor is returning to his feet, angry.
�Enough!� Fearor says. �If your fears won�t destroy you, I will!� Suddenly Fearor grows to a giant size.
�All Mechadum Assemble!� Kenny commands as he presses the �4� button on his Battle Gauntlet.
Across town, by the city�s docks, a platform rises up from the ocean. On the platform is Battle Warrior, next to it is Battle Tank, and on a higher platform behind the tank is Battle Jet.
The Battle Defenders turn into small balls of light and fly into their Mechadum. The Battle Defenders appear in their respective cockpits.
�Battle Warrior, Battle Ready!� Kenny readies his controls.
�Battle Jet, Battle Ready!� David and Samantha ready their controls.
�Battle Tank, Battle Ready!� Holly readies her controls.
The three Mechadum race off the platform and charge toward Fearor.
The Defenders pull the needed switch and together say, �Transform and Combine!�
Battle Warrior�s eyes glow for a second before it jumps up. The cannon on Battle Tank, and the cannon�s platform, rise up. Battle Warrior lands on top of Battle Tank. Battle Tank splits into two halves, as the front and back rises up and connects to Battle Warrior�s legs, as the two remaining sides of Battle Tank disconnects. Battle Jet stops flying and starts hovering over Battle Warrior. A black with silver chrome helmet shoots out of the center of Battle Jet, before Battle Jet lands on Battle Warrior�s shoulder with its head sticking out where the helmet was. The front and back falls down and connects to Battle Warrior�s chest and back, as the remaining pieces of Battle Tank connects to Battle Warrior�s arms and hands. At the same time the cannon�s platform connects to the remaining of Battle Warrior�s back as the cannon connects to the spot below the platform. Then the helmet falls down on Battle Warrior�s head, causing the eyes to glow for a second.
The new Mechadum raises its arms before lowering them back at its sides, as its controllers call out, �Battle Mechadum, Battle Ready!�
�Once I�m done, you will be afraid of me,� Fearor says and runs toward Battle Mechadum.
Battle Mechadum fires a punch but Fearor jumps high up to avoid it and lands behind it, punching it in the back. Battle Mechadum turns around to tries another punch but Fearor jumps high up again and lands behind it and punches it twice in the back. Battle Mechadum turns back around and fires a kick but Fearor jumps high up. He lands behind it and punches it repeating in the back.
�I�m getting sick and tired of his jumping act,� Holly says, inside her cockpit.
�If he doesn�t stay still, we won�t be able to nail him with the Battle Sword,� Kenny says, inside his cockpit.
�Wait, maybe we can get him with the Battle Cannon,� David says, in his shared cockpit.
�Battle Cannon?� Samantha says, surprised, in her shared cockpit.
�Trust me,� David says, in their shared cockpit.
�Alright then,� Kenny says, in his shared cockpit.
A handle comes out of the cannon on Battle Mechadum�s back as it reaches around to grab it and pull it out, as its controllers yell, �Battle Cannon, Battle Ready!�
Battle Mechadum fires the Battle Cannon, but Fearor jumps high up to avoid it.
�You got to be quicker than that!� Fearor calls out before falls down and double kick Battle Mechadum in the chest, before lands back on the ground.
�He�s still too fast,� Holly says, inside her cockpit.
�Now let�s rock and roll,� Fearor says, rubbing his fists.
��Rock and roll,� he�s getting ready to punch the ground again,� Kenny says, inside his cockpit.
�What?� Holly says, realizing that Kenny is right, inside her cockpit.
�I got an idea, we can use the shockwaves just like Samantha did,� Kenny says, inside his cockpit. �But you will have to be quick with the jets, Samantha.�
�I got it under control,� Samantha says, confident.
Fearor punches the ground, causing a green shockwave to emit from the point of impact. But when the shockwave hits, Battle Mecadum jumps up and fires its jets, sending it speed into the sky so fast that it created a sonic boom.
�What the?� Fearor says, confused as he looks up but can�t see Battle Mechadum as the sun is blinding him.
Suddenly Fearor sees Battle Mechadum flying down him with the sun behind it and the Battle Cannon pointing.
�Battle Cannon, Fire!� the Battle Defenders shout.
The Battle Cannon fires a large blast that hits through Fearor. Battle Mechadum lands on the ground and readies its Battle Cannon as Fearor is consumed by a large explosion.
Back at BookZ, Henry and Jeremy are still alone, as Jeremy is growing more and more annoyed.
�I�m not very interested in books or reading,� Jeremy tells him.
�Why not?� Henry asks.
�They just never hold my interest,� Jeremy says, having grown tired of talking about books, the new Kelly Parston�s album and wants he planning on doing after graduation. �So what�s keeping Samantha?�
Almost to answer Jeremy�s question, Samantha enters from the backroom, with Kenny, David, and Holly.
�Sorry to keep you waiting,� Samantha says to Jeremy, who becomes happy upon seeing her.
�It�s worth the wait,� Jeremy says, as Samantha walks toward him.
�Sure, he�s was so impatience,� David whispers to Holly, before going with Henry to the secret lab, probably to talk about the full capabilities of their Mechadum.
�Well, let�s go,� Jeremy says.
�Let�s,� Samantha says, with a smile, facing her fear. Before she leaves she turns to her remaining friends, �Bye.�
�Bye,� Kenny and Holly say, with Kenny sounding depresses, as Samantha and Jeremy leaves.
Holly puts a hand on Kenny, trying to console him; though he doesn�t know Holly is aware of his feelings for Samantha.
�Hum, I probably should restock some of the books,� Kenny says.
Holly watches as Kenny goes into the backroom, wishing she knows how to help her best friend.

Kenny�s friends decide that he should be their official leader, but Kenny isn�t too sure about their decision.
But when his friends� lives are on the line, Kenny must rise to the challenge or watches as the people he loves die.
