�This can�t be real,� Samantha says, shaking her heads.
�Everything I had told you is very much real,� Henry tells her, before walking over to the briefcase on the large table. He picks it up, faces the four teenagers, �Inside are your key to access the equipment I been telling you about.� Henry opens the briefcase to reveal what looks like four cell phones.
�You want us to fight demons with cell phones?� Holly asks, with a sarcasm tone.
�Don�t let your eyes fool you,� Henry says, holds out the briefcase, getting each of them to grab one. �These are Transformers. They might look like normal cell phones but by presses the key button and says the voice command; they turn into a full body armor to protect you against demons� attacks and gives you access to the other arsenal in your disposal.�
�You really expect us to believe that,� David says, holding up his Transformer.
All of them are unaware that Kenny had opened his Transformer, with the screen and the keypad resembles a normal cell phone expect for a button on the top of the keypad with the picture of a triangle on it. Kenny presses the triangle pictured button and the words �Transformation� appears on the screen.
�Transformation,� Kenny whispers, as he reads the screen.
Suddenly, to his friends� surprised, Kenny�s Transformer breaks apart and then starts speeding around him, before reassembling on his body, forming mainly purple armor, with a large round device on his right arm and a blue triangle, with a green circle on top, a pink circle at the left corner, an orange circle at the right corner, and a purple circle in the center, on the chest. Around his head forms a helmet and an opening around his eyes before a black visor slides close. Samantha, David, and Holly stand shocked at their friend, while Henry is pleased. Kenny is also shocked as he looks down at his self, holding his hands up to his helmet.
�Kenny?� Samantha says, confused.
�How�s does it feels?� David asks his friend.
�It�s hard to describe,� Kenny tries to answer. �I feel protected and strong.�
David opens his Transformer and looks at it for a second before he presses the triangle pictured button, causing �Transformation� to appear on the screen.
�Transformation,� David says, causing his Transformer to breaks apart, speeds around his body, then reassembles as the same armor as Kenny�s expect colored green, follows by his visor to slides close. �Whoa,� David says, looking at his self.
Samantha and Holly open their Transformers and look down at them for a quick second before they also press the triangle pictured button with the words �Transformation� to appear on the screens.
�Transformation,� Samantha and Holly says together, causing their Transformers to break apart, speed around their bodies, then reassemble as the same armor expect Samantha�s colored pink and Holly�s colored orange. Their visors then slide close.
�So, what�s you think?� Henry asks, as the girls are looking at their armored bodies.
�It�s definitely rate high on the cool meter,� David says. �But still, this is too unreal.�
Henry�s happy face disappears as quickly as it�s appeared.
�I sorry about what happened to your friends, I really am, but this is too much,� Samantha tells him. �We�re not demon fighters.�
�Yeah, so mind telling us how to get out of these things?� Holly asks.
�Presses the �zero� button on your Battle Gauntlets and says �revert,�� Henry instructs.
�This thing?� David says, looking at the round device on his right arm, seeing the keypad resembles a cell phone�s keypad. David presses the �zero� button, �Revert.� David�s armor breaks apart and reassembles as a Transformer in David�s hand.
�Revert,� Samantha presses the �zero� button and the same happens, as the armor becomes a Transformer in her hand again.
�Revert,� Holly is next with her armor turns back into a Transformer and lands in her hand.
�Revert,� Kenny is the last to press the �zero� button, causing his armor to breaks apart and reassembles as a Transformer in his hands.
The fours hand their Transformers toward Henry, but Henry puts up one hand in protest.
�No, keep them for a day,� Henry tells them. �If by tomorrow, you still don�t want anything to do with this, I will gladly accept them back.�
�Okay,� David says, as he and his friends put their Transformers in their pockets. �Excuse me; I need to go find Jill.�
�Hum, we better get back to work, Kenny,� Samantha says, as David leavings, then turns to Henry. �That if we still got our jobs.�
�Oh, yeah, of course,� Henry says. �I do need employees to help run the store.�
Meanwhile, Jill is seating in her wheelchair next to a wall of the school building, crying. From an adjacent roof, Sucidial turns back into his spirit form and enters Jill�s body, causing a blue glow to covers her body for a quick second.
�Without the uses of your legs, whose would want to spend time with you,� Sucidial�s voice is heard in the back of Jill�s mind. �Anyone who�s nice to you just feels sorry for you. They�re petty you. No one really cares about you. No one loves you. No one will ever love you.�
�No one� will ever� love me,� Jill says, as tears are rolling down her cheek.
�There�s only one way to get rid of this pain,� Sucidial says.
Meanwhile David had begun his search for Jill, wanting to talk to her and maybe set a date for the two. Having someone at the high school telling him that he saw her goes toward the forest, David follows the trail through the forest. He finally reaches the end of the forest to a bridge suspends over a road. David then sees Jill seating near the edge of the bridge, looking over the edge.
�Jill?� David�s confuses as to why Jill would be here.
�No one� will ever� love me,� Jill repeats, almost zombie-like.
David then realizes that Jill is pulling herself over the edge, he starts into a run, �Jill, don�t! NO!!�
David�s cries fall on deaf ears as Jill pulls herself over the edge. Without thinking, David pulls his Transformer out of his pocket, jump onto the railing and then jump off. He holds up the open Transformer, �Transformation!� The Transformer forms David�s armor around him. As the two are falling, David manages to catches her in mid air and he lands on his feet. When David straights up, Jill�s body glows blue for a second before Sucidial�s spirit form leaves her.
�Wh-What�s happened,� Jill says, as she starting to come to her senses.
�I had an idea,� David says, looking up to sees Sucidial�s spirit form suspends over the bridge next to Jill�s wheelchair before flying off.
�The last thing I remember,� Jill says, slowly shakes her head. �I was at the school, when I heard a voice in the back of my head, and then�� Jill realizes she in the arms of a man in green armor. �What�s you supposes to be?�
�Hum, that�s not important, right now,� David tells her, before looking up at her wheelchair. �If I take you back to your wheelchair, will you be able to get home by yourself alright?�
�Yeah, I�m sure I will be fine,� Jill tells him, and then David starts to walk back up the hill to the bridge.
Back at BookZ, David, after making sure Jill is okay, rushing inside to find Kenny and Samantha behind the counter with Holly in front of it.
�Guys, we need to talk,� David says.
�Two girls and one guy,� Holly tries to tell him, but David isn�t interested.
�Not now, Holly,� David says. �Jill just tried to kill herself.�
�What?� Holly says, shocked, an impresses each of them have.
�Is she okay?� Samantha asks.
�Yeah, I used my Transformer to save her,� David explains, just as Henry comes out of the backroom. �But that not the point right now, after I saved her, this ghost thing comes out of her.�
�She�s not the only one,� Henry tells them, catching everyone�s attention.
Meanwhile at the horseman�s cave, Sucidial had return to face his boss and Greling.
�Hum, sir, I don�t mean to anger you,� Sucidial says, afraid of the horseman�s wrath. �But when I try to kill this handicapped girl, a guy in green armor saves her. I think I should report to you.�
�A guy in green armor,� the horseman says, places his free hand on his chin as he thinks, before removes it. �Greling, bring me the dust.�
Greling sticks his hand in the same cave wall he came out of and a moment later he pulls out a bag, with a piece of rope tied the top of the bag closed.
�Here you go, master,� Greling says, handing the bag to the horseman.
�If you face more trouble, use these,� the horseman gives the bag to Sucidial.
Sucidial opens the bag and sees it�s full of dust, �Dust?�
Later, in the laboratory, Kenny, Samantha, David, and Holly are facing Henry in front of the large computer.
Henry enters couple keystrokes, when the image of a ghostly shape appears, �Is this what you saw?�
�Yeah, that it,� David says.
�Is it a demon?� Kenny asks the question everyone was thinking.
�Yeah, but this is its true form,� Henry says, enters more keystrokes till a picture of Sucidial appears with text appears next to it and the images of the ghostly shape and a flaming ball appears at the bottom of the screen. �It�s called Sucidial.�
�You�re quick to find it,� Holly points out.
�I get suspicious when I heard of all the suicides that been happening,� Henry explains. �And I remember hearing of a demon that can cause depresses people to kill their selves. So I check the database the Organization had created and, well, the rest is history.�
�People had died because of this thing?� Samantha asks.
�And Jill almost died,� David adds.
�That why the world need defenders who can use Project Battle to stop the demons,� Henry tells him.
�I�m in,� Kenny says, surprising everyone.
�Kenny?� Holly looks to her friend for an explanation.
�If someone doesn�t do something, then people will just keep on dying,� Kenny explains.
Holly nods her head in agreement then turns to Henry, �Kenny�s right, you can count on me too.�
�Yeah, me too,� David agrees.
�Something must be done,� Samantha says. �So let�s make it four.�
�I guess Project Battle Defenders is complete,� Holly says.
�Battle Defenders, I like it,� Henry says.
Suddenly, an alarm is heard, causes everyone to jump in surprises.
�What�s that?� David asks.
�It�s the early warning system,� Henry says, turning to the computer and starts entering keystrokes. �Something is wrong in the city.�
They then sees it on the screen, a reckless driver is driving a black car down a road, crossing lanes, causing other cars to drive onto the sidewalk to avoid him.
�A reckless driver?� Samantha says.
�Not just that,� Henry says, entering more keystrokes, then the screen turns a blue tinted and a square appears with a picture of Sucidial�s spirit form in it and a line leading to the driver. �He had been affected by Sucidial. He�s a suicides driver.� He then turns to the newly christen Battle Defenders. �You need to stop him before someone is hurt.�
�He�s just passed Nembar Dr.� David points out. �He�s all the way in downtown; we�ll never be able to reach him in time.�
�Not on foot,� Henry enters more keystrokes. �But you can on theses.�
The wall, next to the walls with the large table and large computer, opens, revealing a room with four multi-colored cycles.
�Motorcycles?� Holly says, confused.
�Those are your Battle Cycles,� Henry tells them.
�Hum, I never ridden a motorcycle before,� Samantha says.
�I don�t even have a driver�s license,� Kenny says.
�Don�t worry, you will receives data on how to operate them by way of your visors,� Henry explains.
David notices the same triangle symbol of the side of the Battle Cycles as are their armor�s chest plate, �Hey, what�s this symbol, anyway?�
�That�s the ancient Trideck symbol of truth,� Henry starts. �Each of the circles stands for a different Trideck virtue.� He looks at David, �Intelligence.� He looks at Samantha, �Kindness.� He looks at Holly, �Strength.� He looks at Kenny, �And Courage. You must have each of those virtues and stand together and nothing can stop you.� The four teenagers nod in agreement. �Now, you better hurry, you�re needed.�
The four teenagers hold up their opened Transformers, �Transformation!� In a quick second, they are fully clad in their colored armors. They mount their individual cycles and revs the engines, as the wall in front of them lowers, �Battle Cycles, Battle Ready!� The Defenders ride out of the abandoned building and down the street.
�Battle Ready?� Henry�s curious about what they said and then with a smile, says, �Why not.�
In the center of Crestview Heights� downtown, the possessed driver is driving reckless, as other cars are trying to avoid him.
�You lost your job; you lost your wife; why should you go on living?� Sucidial�s voice is heard at the back of the driver�s mind.
�I shouldn�t go on living,� the driver says in a dazed.
Suddenly the driver sees in his rearview mirror, the four Battle Defenders are riding their Battle Cycles toward him.
�We need to stop him, somehow,� Samantha points out.
�Takes out the tires,� David suggests.
�I�m on it,� Holly says, driving forward, breaking the formation they had formed. Holly sees in her visor instructions that read: �Battle Laser: 1.� Holly follows the instruction and presses the �one� button on her Battle Gauntlet, �Battle Laser!� On her right hand appears a wrist-mounted red and silver weapon with a silver laser pistol on the front. Holly takes aim with her weapon and fires at the back left wheel, causing a large hole, as the tire is deflating. �One�s down,� Holly fires at the other back wheel, with the same results.
The driver starting to have trouble with controlling the car, as the car�s back waves back and forth.
�He�s losing control!� David notices.
�Watch out!� Kenny points ahead toward a wall the driver is heading toward.
�The driver!� Holly becomes worry for his safety.
�I got him,� David drives toward the car and then jump off his cycle onto the car�s roof. �Whoa!� David manages to stable his self, before opening the driver�s side door. �Out you go,� David pulls the driver out of the car, before jumping off the roof, just seconds before the car slammed into the wall.
As the man and David land on the ground, the man glows blue for a second before Sucidial�s spirit form leaves the man. He flies for couple feet before return to his original form and turns around to face his enemies, now all on their feet and staring down Sucidial.
�Now let�s turn this into a fair fight,� Holly says.
�Who would want that,� Sucidial says, before pulling out the bag of dust and opens it. �Now let�s see, what was that spells, oh yeah, Sselmrof Epahs Sekat Mrof!�
Suddenly, the dust shoots out of the bag before coming together and takes on the form of a small army of human-shaped creatures seemly made out of dust and sand. The Defenders are taken back by what they just see.
�Those are Dustoids,� Henry�s voice is heard through a com link in the Defenders� helmets. �They aren�t much alone but in a large group they could be dangerous. I suggest using your Battle Weapons, the data is sending to your visors.�
�Got it, let�s go,� Kenny says, before presses the �two� button on his Battle Gauntlet. �Battle Saber!� A long saber with a violet hilt appears in his right hand.
�Battle Bow!� Samantha presses the �two� button and a long pink bow appears in her right hand.
�Battle Lance!� David presses the �two� button and a long green lance appears in his right hand.
�Battle Axe!� Holly presses the �two� button and a huge orange axe appears in her right hand.
�Nice toys, let�s play,� Sucidial says, before launching an order to the Dustoids. �Kill them!�
�Battle Defenders, Battle Ready!� the Defenders take fighting stances with their weapons before rushing their enemies.
A Dustoid strikes down, with a short sword also made out of dust, at Samantha. She blocks with her bow, before kicking the Dustoid in the chest. Another Dustoid tries a sideward strike, but Samantha dodges under it with a back flip. The Dustoid charges with a sword stab, but Samantha slams the attack away and strikes the Dustoid in the chest with her bow. She turns and look up to see a Dustoid jumping toward her with its sword held high. She pulls back the bow�s string, causing an arrow made out of pure light appears. She releases the bow�s string and the arrow flies through the Dustoid�s chest, causing a small hole, before the Dustoid is blows apart into dust.
Samantha stands ready with her weapon, �You got to love laser arrows.�
Samantha sees two Dustoids racing toward her. She races toward them, before throwing her bow into the air. She flips between the two Dustoids, kicking them in the heads as she passes. When Samantha returns to her feet, she jumps up and catches her Battle Bow. While in midair, she aims at the Dustoids as one stand in front of the other. She pulls back the bow�s string, summoning a laser arrow and releases it. The laser arrow shoots through both of the Dustoids at the same time. Samantha lands on one knee, with her free hand on the ground, the Dustoids blow apart behind her.
�Two for the price of one,� Samantha says, as she straights back up.
David twirls around his Battle Lance like a staff, with it presses at his back, �Welcome to my nightmare.�
David twirls around his lance, knocking one Dustoid back and then another. David twirls it around again, striking, in a diagonal angle, at a Dustoid, causing it to blow apart a second later.
�Let�s make this more interesting,� David switches his lance into his left hand and he presses the �one� button on his Battle Gauntlet. �Battle Laser!�
David�s Battle Laser appears on his right hand, he then takes aim at three charging Dustoids. He fires at each of them, causing them to blow apart. A Dustoid pulls away his right arm, and then punches him in the stomach. David quickly uses his left leg to block another punch, before using it to kick the Dustoid away. He then switches his lance back to his right hand and twirls it around striking the Dustoid and causes it to blow apart as David readies his weapon in front of it.
Holly uses her Battle Axe to block a sword strike from a Dustoid, before pushing it back and launches a downward strike, causing it to blow apart. After the Dustoid blown apart, Holly sees five Dustoids charging her.
�Don�t know I was so popular,� Holly says, before kicking off the ground and flies backward till she lands on her Battle Cycle and places her Battle Axe on the side of the cycle in a holder.
Holly revs her cycle�s engine before starts riding toward the Dustoids. She presses a button on the onboard console, firing couple lasers out of the cycle�s front. She blasts down two of the Dustoids, before she starts riding past them, knocking the other three off their feet. She spins to a stop, before sees the three remaining Dustoids get to their feet and starts racing toward her.
�I guess we have to do this the old way,� Holly says, grabs her axe and dismount her cycle.
Holly races toward the Dustoids, she strikes down the first Dustoid, before blocking a sword from the second Dustoid. She kicks away the third before she pushes up the second Dustoid�s arms and fires an upward strike with her weapon. Holly returns to the third Dustoid, jumps forward, and strikes it diagonally. She lands on one knee and takes a fighting pose with her axe as the three Dustoids are blow apart behind her.
Kenny sees a group of Dustoids heading toward him. He twirls around his Battle Saber so the blade is point toward him, and then takes a fighting stance before rushing his enemies. He blocks one sword strike and then strike downward at an angle, destroying the attacker. Kenny spins around his weapon, so he will hold it normally. He deflects another sword strike and kicks away another attacker. The Dustoid with the sword attacks again, but Kenny block it again and fires a downward strike, causing the Dustoid to blow apart. He sees two more Dustoids launch downward strikes, but Kenny jumps back to avoid them. Upon landing, he jumps forward, firing a sideward strike, causing the two Dustoids to blow apart.
Kenny takes a fighting pose, �And that is how it is done.�
Kenny then notices Sucidial is charging him, Sucidial�s dial changes to the picture of a ball. Sucidial then turns into a round shape and rolls toward Kenny, knocking him off his feet. Sucidial turns around and rolls back toward the fallen Kenny, suddenly David fires his Battle Laser at Sucidial, causing him to been knock back and returns to his normal form. The other Battle Defenders regroup around Kenny, as he returns to his feet.
�Are you okay, Kenny?� David asks his friend.
�I�m fine,� Kenny answers.
�You won�t be for long,� Sucidial says, and then his dial switches to the picture of the ghost shape. Sucidial turns into his spirit form and flies at Kenny, but he bounces off, then he bounces off Samantha, Holly and then finally David. Sucidial flies back to the spot he was standing on and returns to his feet. �W-What happened?!�
The Battle Defenders are looking at themselves and each others, wondering the same.
�What did happen?� Holy asks.
�I think our armors prevented him from possessing us,� David says.
�Don�t matter, you�re cook!� Sucidial says, as his dial switches to the picture of fire. Sucidial then starts shooting fire from his mouth, the Battle Defenders roll out of the way. �Let�s really turn up the heat,� Sucidial says, as his dial switches to the picture of the flaming ball.
Sucidial turns back into his ball shape, but he is then engulfs by fire. Sucidial rolls toward the Defenders, causing them to fall over as he passes. The Defenders barely return to their feet, when they see Sucidial turns around and starts rolling toward them again.
�He�s coming back!� Samantha warns her friends.
David thinks for a quick second, �I got an idea, Samantha, tries to slow him down.�
Samantha then starts shooting laser arrows at the rolling Sucidial, slowing him down a bit. David then stabs one end of his lance in the ground and holds it up at an angle. Uncontrollable, Sucidial rolls onto the lance and fly into the air.
Kenny watches as Sucidial is flying, then turns to Holly, �Holly, give me a boost.�
�Right,� Holly understands and holds out her axe horizontally.
Kenny jumps up and then jump off Holly�s Battle Axe, flying high in the sky. Kenny then fires a downward strike with his Battle Saber, causing Sucidial to explode in midair. Kenny lands on one knee as a ball of fire crashes behind him. The other Defenders join him and starts celebrating their victory with cries of �Alright!� and �We did it!�
Later on, back at the BookZ, Samantha is behind the counter, with Holly on the other side, as Kenny and Henry are coming out of the backroom, when David enters.
�Hey,� David starts, before pauses for a second. �Everyone.�
�You�re learning,� Holly says to him.
�So how Jill�s doing,� Samantha asks.
�Fine,� David starts. �She�s starting to see a therapist. Maybe working out her depresses over losing the use of her legs.�
�It�s going be tough,� Henry says. �I can�t manage losing the use of one of my limbs. But on a brighter note, I�m proud of all of you.� Henry says, with smiles appearing on everyone�s faces. �A lot of lives are now safe.�
�At least it�s over,� Samantha says, then lends on the counter.
�I�m afraid its not,� Henry tells her. �There are a lot more demons out there and a lot more people will be in danger.�
�Not with us around,� Kenny says, causing each of his friends to nod in agreement.
Meanwhile, back at the dark cave, the horseman is standing in front of the orb with Greling on the other side of the orb.
�I don�t believe Sucidial was so easy defeated,� the horseman says, angry, as he watches the orb.
�Death!�
The horseman turns around to see three more horsemen riding toward the cave. Riding a white horse is a creature whose face makes him look like a king with a crown on top of his head and a bow in his hand. Riding a red horse is a creature with wildly hair, a bare chest and a sword in his hand. Riding a black horse is a creature that resembles a sickly and dying man with gray hair with a balance weighting scale in his hand.
�Ah,� Death says, as his comrades come to a stop and dismounts their horses. �Conquest,� Death says to the king creature. �War,� Death says to the wildly haired creature. �Famine,� Death says to the sickly looking creature.
�We heard you have some trouble,� War says, as their horses walk over to the side of the cave.
�Yeah, some group of crime fighters that called themselves the Battle Defenders,� Death explains.
�Humans?� Famine says, not believing his ears. �You were defeated by stinky humans?�
�They have weapons more advanced then they should�ve,� Death tells them, as Greling is watching from the corner.
�That is a pickle,� Conquest says, as he walks over to the orb and waves his hand over it for a second. �We must complete our mission at all cost.�
�But we can�t let these Defenders interfere, either,� War says, as he, Famine, and Death stands beside Conquest around the orb.
�That require just one course of action,� Famine says.
�Yeah,� Death starts. �We must split our time between completing our mission and kills the Battle Defenders.�
Next time on Battle Defenders:
The Battle Defenders return to their normal lives. Easier said then done.
They must contend with a demon that threatens to burn the entire city down.
Plus Henry introduces some new weapons for our heroes in the form of giant robots.
