Our Story
I think both Aaron and I freeze a little when people ask us how we met. So here's the story:

Aaron found my profile throught Match.com back in April of 2002. We emailed back and forth for nearly a month before ever agreeing to meet up for our first date. I met up with him at P&P in San Francisco after work on Wednesday, May 22, 2002. I was late (as usual) and will never forget walking up to some guy at the bar and asking him if he was Aaron. He wasn't. (to this day I blame Aaron cause he said he'd be at the bar.) Anywho, I finally found him and dinner was nice. Conversation was not rolling, but it moved along (thanks to me. Aaron of course will disagree, but he can have his chance later when he wants to write his version.))

After dinner, we walked over to see Star Wars: Episode II. Then, after the movie was the memorable moment. I'll let Aaron tell it in his own words: "Kate asked me 'Where's your car?' and I turned and I said, 'Down that way,' and Kate said, 'Oh I'll just get a cab,' as she ran to get in a cab."

My version? I asked where his car was and paused for a second as he paused, never giving me a hint if he was going to take me home. To be honest, I wasn't feeling the vibe, so I thought the best thing was just to grab a cab. Because Aaron has such a reserved personality, I didn't think I made a positive impression on him.

Aaron has no comment.

I realized the next day that I may have ran away a bit so I emailed him the next day to let him know I had a nice time.

We arranged for our second date in June (his vacation and my vacation caused the delay.) The day of, he called me to make arrangements and I was scared of another night of trying to drag conversation out of him, so decided to try to blow him off at the last minute. So I told him my parents needed my help with the house. He simply said "Oh" which, in my mind, sounded a little bummed. Aaron just claims he was surprised. But to me the sound of his voice really got to me so I quickly asked if we could reschedule for the next day. And we did.

Our dates got more and more and closer together until we were basically spending all our time together.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
