1982 Was born in Kansas City, MO.
1995 (age 13) Began ballet at the Boys and Girls Club
Feb. 1996 Was on Pointe after three months of learning ballet.
Dec. 1996 Took the lead role in "Nutcracker"
Jan.1997 Was awarded as Best Dancer at the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards.
Dec.1997(age 15) Won Best Dancer in Southern California.
Jan.2000 Received ABT Coca Cola Scholar Award.
Sept.2001 Joined ABT after graduating high school
Jan.2002 Was chosen to compete for the Princess Award
Jun.2007 Chosen to compete for the Erik Bruhn Award
Aug.2007 Was promoted to soloist. Renowned for being the third African-American Soloist with ABT ever and the first in twenty years.
Jan.2008 Received the Leonore Annenberg Fellowship in the Arts award for being a young talent in the arts.
Jan.2010 Performed with Prince on his "Welcome 2 America" tour.
May2012 Was inducted into the Boys and Girls Club National Hall of Fame.
Jun.2012 Performed her first lead role with ABT as the Firebird.
Mar.2014 Released her first autobiography "Life in Motion:An Unlikely Ballerina"
