"Role Model for Brown Girls"

Misty paved the way for many young girls of color. She went through quite a bit to be who she is today. She sets a positive example for all little girls of dance everywhere. Because she started ballet late in life and also a bi-racial child, she found it very difficult to fit in , in the ballet world. She had certainly paved the way for a lot of girls who have been told that they can't do something that they want to do, or that they will never be who they want to be in life. Truly an inspiration to all.
