Silest
is found
Flarth and I are now on our
own to look for Zen and Silest. We now have been flying for over three hours.
As we fly in the night sky, I notice something flashing down on the ground.
“Flarth, look over there,” I
point to the direction where the flash is coming from. “I think someone’s
trying to get our attention!”
“Hmm… Think you’re right.
Let’s go and check who it is.”
We both land down where the
flash had come from and saw that it was a Paratroopa girl holding a pearl
necklace with a large diamond on it.
“Um… Silest?” I asked her
slowly, “It’s me, Travallian. Flarth is with me as well.”
“Yes! Yes! I knew that I
would see you two again!” she says cheerfully. “This was all meant to be! I
knew that Zen wouldn’t find ya guys!”
“Hmm. Where is Zen, Sil?”
Flarth asks her.
“Oh, he went out to look for
you two and told me that he was gonna prove to himself that he is the strongest
magic user out of all four of us.”
“Peh, what a jerk!” Flarth
shakes his head.
“Strongest magic user out of
all four of us? What for?” I ask.
“Just like what Flarth had
said. He’s a jerk.” Silest chuckles.
“Heh. Okay, Flarth, Silest.”
“Hey! Do you think he’s ever
coming back, Sil?”
“I don’t think so, Flarth.”
Silest frowns, “Not until he beats you two. Since you’re here, he might never
come back. Hahaha. Come on. Lets go into my cabin. The sun’s coming out and it
looks like it would hurt you two.”

As Flarth and Silest talk, I
look walk around Silest’s cabin.
“You’re saying that Zen put
a spell on us that would make us werewolves, vampires, or anything worse?”
“Yes, Flarth! He did it
right in front of me. I became a werewolf and I have to stay inside when it’s a
full moon! Zen has told me that he was going to make you a vampire, because you
despise them, but it backfired, because you were already a vampire and it hit
Travallian. I think most likely when Trav was transforming into a Yoshi, when
he was at that forest, with Trans and Fliter. Zen was slightly worried about
Travallian’s heath at the time. He accidentally put both a vampire and werewolf
spell on him. He thought that he had turned Trav into some sort of beast.”
“What? That’s not good!”
Flarth says with concern, “Well, as you can see, Trav’s just fine, but I
haven’t seen him out in a full moon yet, though.”
“So,” I walk into the room
they were talking in, “I’m a vampire werewolf? That sounds strange, really
strange.”
“Indeed it is little
brother,” Silest says with a sigh, “I have never become a werewolf yet. I’m
keeping it that way.”
“The next full moon’s
tomorrow, right?” I ask them both.
“Yes. What’s your point,
Trav?” Flarth raises an eyebrow.
“I want to see how it would
feel to become a werewolf.” I say with confidence.
“You what!?” They both look
at me with shocked eyes. “Are you serious?”
“Yes. Yes I am. Why wouldn’t
I be?”
Silest walks over to me to
give me a tight hug. “Trust me. You do not want to do that!”
“Trust me, Silest, I do want
to do this!” I push her away, “Have faith in me, please.”
“If Trav wants to see how
it’s like to be a werewolf, then he shall,” Flarth says to Silest. “Sil, this
is one of the rarest things that I have ever heard Trav say. He rarely does do
things that would make others frightened. He’s too loyal for that. Have some
faith. This might even be an advantage if he can handle the power of the full
moon.”
“Thanks, Flarth.”
“Hey, no problem,
Travallian. I have faith in you. No full moon can overpower you and make you go
wild! You’re stronger than that!”
“Since Flarthenter has faith
in you in this, I guess I give you my faith as well.”
“Thanks, Flarth, Silest. Why
did Zen put this spell on us, Silest?”
“Peh… I hate it when you
call me Flarthenter.”
“Shush, Flarth,” Silest
turns to me, “I don’t know. It’s not like him to cast a spell on us when we’re
not training or even at the same location. That makes me wonder. He snapped
right out of it when the spell hit you.”
“Heh… Could Mega Flare have
been part of this?” I ask them both.
“I’m not sure. It is
possible,” says Flarth.
“Flare? Why would he do such
a thing?” Silest questions us, “Why would Flare do a thing like this? I do not
understand!”
“Do you know him, Sil?”
“Yes, Flarth! He was our
friend in the past,” She looks at us then looks out the window, “He left quite
a long time ago. Zen hated him and Mega Flare hated Zen right back. I still
don’t know why, though.”
“It’s getting late,” Flarth
pushes me and I land on my bed, “If you really want to go through this, you
better go to sleep now.”
“Oof! Okay…”
Silest starts to laugh while
she pushes Flarth on to his own bed. “You better go to sleep too! I see the sun
coming out. Do you prefer coffins, little brothers?”
“No!” Flarth covers himself
with the bed covers.
“I don’t know why, but a
coffin’s sounding good right now,” I say with a frown.
“What? Am I hearing you
right? Are you okay, Travallian?” Flarth pulls down the bed covers and starts
staring at me with wide eyes. “How strong was that spell Zen had cast on you?”
“Hey! I am just kidding!”
“You? Kidding? That’s a
first! I took you seriously there!”
“You did? Wow. In that
case,” I turn to Silest “You got any real coffins here, Silest?”
“Yeah. Heehee. I owned them
to give Zen the creeps. He’s scared to go down to the basement because of them.
Why do you ask, Trav?”
“Lets have a bet, Flarth,”
An evil grin appears on my face. “Let us both sleep in the coffins down in the
basement! You chicken out, you don’t go out to feed for a month. If you don’t
chicken out, I’ll have to bite-” I swallowed hard, “I’ll have to bite Zeo. She
had always wanted to be bitten by a vampire. Trans told me that. I don’t know
why she does, though. Makes me shudder on just the thought of biting anyone.”
“You’ve changed. You’ve
changed a lot through all these years. I never back out on a bet! Bring it on,
bro!”
“It’s settled then! Lets
go!”
“You both have lost it, my
little brothers!” Silest shakes her head, “Anyway, follow me to the basement.”
Silest takes us both through
a hallway then down a stairway.
“Okay. We are here you two,”
Silest takes out a key from a hidden pocket inside her hat and puts it into the
keyhole. “You two are nuts! You are indeed my little brothers,” She opens the
door, “Get in and get some sleep.”
I give her a slight nod and
turn to Flarth to see that he’s trembling.
“Are you planning on backing
out?” I ask him.
“N-no way!” He shakes his
head, “I n-never back out! This is child’s play! I have had worse! I n-n-never
lose on a bet! I keep my word on that!”
“Well, good for you! If you
do win, Zeo shall get her extremely weird wish to be bitten by a vampire,” I
sigh, “Trans will probably beat me up, but I’m not backing out!”
“What if you do back out and
I don’t?”
“Erm,” I pause, “I’ll go out
with Zeo, take her somewhere nice. I’ll be the one to start the kiss this time,”
I start to blush. I can’t believe that I said that! I’m going to do that no
matter what happens. I thought to myself.
“Hmph. Sounds like you would
enjoy that. Why don’t I change a few things! If we both stay in one of those
coffins,” he trembles once more as he points to the old coffins at each corner,
“I’ll go outside with you tomorrow night and make sure that you don’t go off
somewhere in werewolf form. I shall watch over you even though that would mean
that I’m risking my life.”
“Deal!” In a quick puff of
smoke, I transform into my Yoshi form. I shake my head and then I give Flarth a
smirk. I walk over to the coffin farther to the left of us. As I lift the cover
of the dusty coffin, I turn my head to see Flarth going into the coffin at the
other side of the basement. I go into one as well.
When I close the coffin and
close my eyes, I heard a stubborn, rough voice. The words were not clear, but I
manage to hear, “Foolish. They are like little kids. Perhaps my victory on them
shall be easier than I have thought!” A low cackle is heard.
Zen? I asked in thought.
