Final
As I flew around the area around my sister’s house, I noticed marks on the ground where I had been fighting the past days. A few minutes past and I finally spotted Mega Flare. I landed behind him. He didn’t seem to notice. I walked towards him. He still didn’t seem to notice. I wonder what is wrong with him.
“Flare!” I exclaimed. He hesitated as he turned to face me. He looked frightened. “What’s wrong, Flare?”
“Lord Travallian,” he backs away from me. “Stay back, my Lord.”
I frowned. “Why?”
He closes his eyes. “I managed to break free from Altrovos’ control,” he opens his eyes again. “I just want to go home,” he walks towards me and looks straight down at me and smiled. “Take me back to your kingdom, my old friend.”
All I saw was a fake grin on his face. I glared at him. “You’re lying. You are still in Altrovos’ control!” I unsheathed my sword and pointed it right at him.
He glares back at me. “Darn… You aren’t as naive as you look.”
I swung my emerald sword over his head. He didn’t even try to shield himself. He swung his claws at me and tried to cut my chest, but I managed to back up before he could touch me. I formed a fireball with my right hand that I kept behind my back. I swung my sword at Mega Flare’s tail. Right when he evades, I throw the fireball at his face. He staggers. He covers his face with one claw and growls painfully. My emerald sword started to glow a whitish green color. I pointed it towards Flare.
“Free my friend from Altrovos’ control!”
“Nooooo!!!!” He slashes me across the face.
“Argh!” I stop to cover my face with my right hand, but I keep my sword pointed straight at Flare. “Free Mega Flare out of his control now!” I said as blood ran over my right eye.
Nothing happened. It’s not working… How come? I thought. I couldn’t understand on why it wasn’t working. Flare guffawed.
“You can not win this time. Not like before, Travallian!” He says as he strikes me on the chest. I was dismayed. Blood streamed out of my wound. I knelt down in shock. He seemed disillusioned. “You are still weak from last time. I expected you to be fully healed by now.”
Suddenly, someone casts something behind me. A healing mist engulfs my weak Paratroopa body and heals my wounds quickly. I get up and turn around to see Silest, Flarth, and Zenith. Silest had cast the healing mist on me.
“Don’t you be thinkin’ that you can face Altrovos without us!” Zen exclaims.
“We are a team. Don’t forget that,” Flarth smirks. “You even forgot to equip your armor. Here,” he tosses a navy blue cloak and chain mail at me. “Father thought that grandfather’s old armor would suit you since you are sort of him.”
I catch my cloak and armor and smile. “Thanks,” I slip on the chain mail then I put on my cloak over the armor. The chain mail was just my size. I turn to Mega Flare’s direction and notice Silest talking to him.
“Flare! You will be released!” She walked towards him. “Don’t worry, old friend.”
“Enough of this ‘freeing’ drivel,” Flare started forming a crimson energy beam at her. “I shall finish you off first, girl.”
“No!” Flarth, Zen, and I all shouted. We all ran in front of her and formed an energy beam together with our magic jewels. “Shadow force!” We all hit him with a black beam. He falls over and his crimson beam is fired into the air. It hits a tree and it disintegrates.
He gets up and glares at us. He swings his claws at us. I jump up to dodge. Zen jumps back beside Silest. Flarth jumps up and tries to kick Mega Flare in the face, but Flare grabs his leg. Flarth’s sapphire glows in a white light brightly and blinds Flare for a few seconds. He lets go of Flarth.
We all stand in front of Flare side by side with Zen and I in the middle, Flarth beside me, and Silest beside Zen. Silest’s diamond, Flarth’s sapphire, Zen’s ruby, and my emerald all glow brightly. Beams of colorful light shoot out of our jewels. The light then hits me. I feel my power increasing. My wings grow longer, my hair flows and changes from brown to a dirty-blond color, my eyes change from sky blue to emerald, and I start to glow in a rainbow glow.
Flare backs away and cowers. “No!”
“Now, Travallian,” Silest calls out. “Cast Holy unbound on him!”
I nod slightly to her. “Flare shan’t be trapped any longer,” I say in a deeper voice.
I hold my glowing emerald sword in my left hand and raise it above my head. I form a white shaft of light with my sword. Right when I feel the beam’s power at its strongest level, I point my sword at Flare. I fire the beam at him. He blocks with his arms. He is moved back a bit. I focus more power into the beam. Finally, his arms become too weak to block to any further extent. He puts his arms to his sides and he gets hit with the Holy unbound. He starts to roar loudly and falls to the ground. A dark shadow-like figure leaves Flare’s limp body and glares at me with its scarlet eyes.
“You shall pay, Travallian!” Altrovos exclaims. “I will kill you!”
“That is what you think,” I say as I jump into the air. “Crystal!” I strike down at him with my sword. Sparkling wind surrounds him and turns into a crystal. I pick up the crystal and put it in one of my pockets then suddenly hear cheering in the background. I turned to see Trans and Zeo with villagers behind Flarth, Zen, and Silest. All three of them were dazed as they turned around to see all the people.
“All o’ ye were great!” Trans lets out a toothy grin. “Couldn’t have done any better me self.”
“Trans?!” Flarth glares at him. “Why did you bring these people here?!”
“What?” Trans shrugs with a smile. “These here villagers are from our hometown. Lasereth told us how to get there. Once meh sister and I got there and told them about ye four, they simply wanted to see y’all.”
Flarth let out a sigh of annoyance while Zen chortled, Silest frowned, and I returned to normal and walked in front of them. I looked around and noticed that my father was not in the crowd. I also noticed that Fliter was missing.
“Where is father? I would have expected him to be here.”
Flarth sneers. “Hey! Where’s that skimpy and kinky girl, Fliter?”
Trans beams. “She left. The last time I saw the lass, she was with this guy, giggling her head off,” he begins to laugh. He turns to me. “Your father said he had to leave. He’ll return within a week and eh half. What’s up with that?”
I was about to speak, but Zen butts in and pulls me away from Trans. “Shhh…Don’t you be telling him now. He’ll get a kick out of it when the time comes. Keep quiet, little sovereign,” he smirks. “Let me talk. I’ll perplex him. Geh heh heh.”
“Whatever,” I raise an eyebrow. “…sovereign? Gee, what’s next?”
We both turn back to Trans. Zen grins as he rubs me on the head. He started to say random things that had nothing to do with any of us. I can’t wait to get home…
