Thoughts

 

While everyone did their own business. I thought about the other day when my sword was glowing as Mega Flare held me by my throat. I wasn’t really sure why it was glowing. For one thing, I knew that it wasn’t glowing for me to just hit him with it. Come on! I could have just hit him with it even if it didn’t glow if I could think straight at the time…

Morning arose and night slowly faded. I was in my Yoshi form, but the sunlight didn’t seem to affect me. I looked around. I was sitting on the roof of Silest’s cabin. The sky was a golden orange color. I closed my eyes, spread my wings, and listened to the breeze passing by me. My long red hair flowed in the air a bit.

Flarth, Trans, Silest, and I usually went to sleep at this time. I decided to stay up this day. I wasn’t tired at all. There was no point for me to be tired anyway. All my wounds were fully healed. My father left to get something in a nearby village. I still wonder how he can be vampiric and walk freely in the light of day. I guess it was the same reason as how I can stay out in the light. Zen was outside, sitting right on the boulder again. He seemed to be in deep thought the last time I looked down from the roof. Fliter and Zeo were…Hmm…I don’t exactly know where they were. Fliter had been insulting Trans while Zeo kept herself far away from them.

Zeo didn’t like seeing them fight. I didn’t either…

“Keshi,” someone called my name.

I opened my eyes and turned to see Zeo standing beside me. “Salutations…” I said while folding my wings back. “What is it, Zeo?”

She sat down beside me. “I just want to be with you up here, Kesh.”

“Oh,” I smile at her sweetly. “I’m not stopping ya.”

She smiles back at me then leans her head against my shoulder. I wrapped an arm around her and closed my eyes again. I didn’t hesitate. I was getting soft around her. I didn’t care. I kissed her on the cheek. The breeze became lighter and the air was a bit warmer, or was that Zeo blushing? Eh…

“Are you two having fun up here?”

I opened my eyes again and saw Zen floating in front of us. His wings seemed to have healed fine.

“Hello, Zenith,” I said sheepishly. “What brings you up here?”

He landed onto the roof and sat down on my other side. “I was getting bored sitting there, all alone.”

“Heh.”

I push him with my right hand and he falls onto his side. He gets up and pushes Zeo and I a bit.

“Quit it!” Zeo exclaims. “I might fall off. I don’t have wings like you guys do.”

“Sorry,” Zen and I said at the same time.

Suddenly, our father appeared in a flash of red light. He looked at us and smirked. “Zen, Travallian. You kids have to prepare,” he hands us armor and a few magic spells I have never used before. “You’ll have to free your friend, Mega Flare from Altrovos.”

“Altrovos?” Zen says with a frown. “Whozzat?”

Cool diamond chain mail and these spell will do nicely, I though. I turn my attention back to the name.

“That sounds very familiar to me…” I say as I got up.

Zen turned to face me and stared at me with a confused look. “Really? Then who is he?”

I let out a small sigh and shrugged. “I think Altrovos is some kind of demon or dark spirit who takes over being’s bodies,” I look up at the sky. “…Don’t ask me about how I can remember this…”

I sat back down on the roof beside Zeo. She gave me a confused look and I replied with a frown and a shrug. Tonight’s going to be our final fight with Mega Flare. Lets all hope we don’t kill him by trying to help him…
