Father…

“What happened to you, Travallian?” He asked me.

I turned around to face him and saw that it was a Paratroopa who had dirty blond hair, black robe, and appeared to be older than I.

“Well? Tell me what happened?” He demanded.

“Father?” I asked him. “What are you talking about?”

“Those wings!” He pointed at my vampire Yoshi wings. “And those teeth of yours!”

“Oh, these,” I said dully. “Ask Zen. He did this to me…”

A growl from my stomach was heard and I remembered that I was hungry.

“Uh, eheh,” I said a little embarrassed.

“You better get inside and eat something before you hurt someone,” he gives me a nudge toward the door.

I walked into the house and my father followed. I looked around and saw Fliter and Zeo there.

“Hiya, Kesh!” Fliter greets me. “Oh, hey, Lasereth!”

“Hello…” I said as I went to sit down beside Trans and Zeo. “You guys certainly chose an interesting time to show up.”

“Yes,” Zeo replies. “We got bored fast at that village we were in.

My father right away walks toward my injured brother, Zen.

“Zen!” he says when Silest’s awkward eyes and Flarth’s vampiric wings catch his attention. “What did you do to your brothers? And what is wrong with Silest?”

“What?” He looks up at him. “What about my two vampire kid brothers and my sister’s freakishly awkward werewolf eyes?”

“Travis just told me that you had something to do with it!”

I started to get pains on my stomach from not eating anything for such a long time. I unsheathed my emerald sword and swung it in the air. It started to flicker and glow faintly. After a few seconds the glow faded. I then realized that I over used my emerald and couldn’t transform back.

“Damn…” I said with a sigh.

“What’s wrong Trava?” Zeo asked me.

“I can’t transform back and I’m starved,” I turn to her. “Eating in this form would be useless…”

“Why don’t you summon a glass of blood to appear?”

“I can’t do that!” I give Zeo an awkward look.

Lasereth walked over to me right when he heard my situation. I looked up at my father and scratched the back of my head.

“Zeo,” my father says to Zeo. “Why don’t you give my son some blood? You seem to be okay.”

“Sure, I guess. I’ll do anything to help,” she frowns.

Trans and I both jumped at what my father had said.

“Y-you don’t mean that Travallian’s gonna have to b-bite my sister,” Trans asks my father. “D-do you, Lord Lasereth?”

“Uh… M-me? B-bite Z-Zeo?” I trembled because it was starting to sound appealing at the time.

“Hmm…you two boys have a problem? I’ll make sure that she won’t become a vampire herself,” my father raises an eyebrow. “How about Fliter instead of Zeo?”

Trans and I both look at each other.

“No! Zeo’s just fine!” We both say at the same time.

“At least I keep my blood,” Fliter fingers us.

Zeo moves closer to me and rests her head on my shoulder. I bare my fangs and looks up at my father, noticing that he watching me.

I can’t believe this, I thought to myself. This really hurts me to do this. I wonder what’s next.

I gently put my arms around Zeo and tightly sink my fangs into her neck. I suck her blood for a few seconds. I try to raise my head, but my father holds the back of my neck.

“Don’t fool yourself, my son,” He says. “That wasn’t long enough. You have to get used to it.”

Zeo slowly puts a hand on my shoulder. I start to drink the blood that seeped out of her neck for a few minutes longer until I grabbed my father’s hand that was on my neck.

“Okay, that’s enough,” I said to him. “Let go of my neck.”

He lets me go and I get up. Zeo falls on to my lap. Trans gives her a little pat on the back. I hold her in my arms and gently give her a kiss on her head.

“Most of you haven’t slept since two days ago by the looks of it,” he looks at Zen, Silest, Flarth, Trans, and I. “Get some rest now, I’ll take care of Zeo and Fliter while all of you sleep.”

We all head to the large bedroom upstairs until my father interrupts us.

“Zen, don’t speed up time just to make yourself heal and don’t let your sister or brothers give you a cure spell. Heal on your own.”

“Aw, dad!”

We all were in the bedroom already when Zen decided not to argue with Lasereth.
