Sailor Venus
Aino Minako is the original Sailor Suited Soldier for justice, the self proclaimed goddess of love, the first Sailor Senshi ever, and the last of the Inner Senshi to join the team. Mina-P was found by Artemis, and she shortly lived in England before returning to Tokyo and eventually joining SailorMoon. Minako lives with her parents. She is the boy-crazy, klutzy, dedicated, well intentioned, always helpful (or really trying =) and always cheerful SailorVenus. When we first see her in the manga, there was no Bishoujo Senshi SailorMoon manga. Minako used to be a fighter for love and justice, SailorV, in the Codename Wa: SailorV manga, before Luna even found Usagi, and the SailorMoon saga even began. Thus, SailorV is the first senshi ever. Her entrance in the BSSM manga is quite unusual. As the last of the Inner Senshi to join SailorMoon, she pretends to be the Moon Princess that SailorMoon and everyone else was looking for. It's explained later that she, as the leader of the Inner Senshi, had a duty to protect the Princess' safety by posing as her, if necessary. In the anime, SailorVenus' existence had been suggested, as the merchandise machine "SailorV." =) She appears at the end of the search for the Nijizuishou, and just in time to rescue the other Senshi from Kunzite.Minako sometimes feels a little (very little) detached from the team, like she is very aware that she wants a life outside of her duties as a Sailor Senshi, but by no means she is any less dedicated and loyal to her friends, especially Usagi. She would want to be a star, and she just might have what it takes. She is cheerful most of the time, and sometimes, she is a little too emotional, in a childish sort of way. Minako-chan would like a little more respect, and she can be quite funny while trying to grab it, especially when she pretends to be too wise and ends up messing her famous quotes. =) She's fairly stereotypical, a dreamer, fairly naive, romance chasing, not terribly smart, very energetic and cheerful -- though you probably wouldn't tell from these pictures =) --, and yes, a blonde. But after the first few seconds, she is much more than that. While on the surface, she is the cheerleader/comic relief of the team, she is very kindhearted and willing to help people in any way she can, whether they want it or not. She does have a self centered, and somewhat self serving side to her, but it's mostly used as comic relief. =) In reality, she is a very caring and concerned friend. She's also a heck of an actress, and quite aggressive towards boys in her romantic pursuits.Minako-chan is not the most physically coordinated of the senshi, but she is still quite athletic. Her favorite sport is volleyball, at which she excels, but had to leave it as she became SailorV, and later, SailorVenus. =( It also helps her find purpose in her life in several ocasions, something she needs quite badly at times, as sometimes she behaves as though she might need counseling -- but in a funny sort of way! We like her! =)When her feathers are ruffled, she becomes fairly vindictive, -- but fun to watch =) -- and the enemy better watch out. In the manga, SailorVenus gets to wield a weapon, the Moon Sword, with which she kills Queen Beryl.SailorVenus was the fourth Senshi to join SailorMoon. Besides a special attachment to Usagi, -- perhaps because they are both klutzes? -- Minako-chan often hangs around Mako-chan, and SailorJupiter and SailorVenus often team up in battle, in the anime -- or at least more than, say, Neptune and Mercury. =) In the manga, she has a special bond with Rei-chan.Minako's cat guardian is Artemis, with whom she has a very interesting relationship. SailorVenus' attacks seem to be light/love based; they are aggressive and multipurpose, her Venus Love-Me chain can be used as a (well...) chain.
