| Madame Blue |
| Artist's Statement Madame Blue is a work where I took advantage of a gorgeous blue I had on my palette, in the quest for a 'decent' fleshtone. It also has to be one of the most ordinary paintings I have ever done of the human figure. She's reposed, her back to me, looking out though the lattice work of a gazebo, that is and isn't there, silken fabric beneath, and gently caressing her skin. I have to admit, I enjoyed painting it.
