- He was in Guns N' Roses from the start of the band after he dropped out of school.
- Whilest he was in Guns N' Roses he had started a side project called Slash's Snakepit and that band released two albums ('Mean Bone' and 'Ain't Life Grand')
- Also after the 'Illusion' tours Guns N' Roses had a break and Slash started another band called Slash's Blues Ball and did many covers but never released an album.
- Guns N' Roses split after the break apparently because Slash saw Guns N' Roses as a rock band and Axl wanted a techno/dance band and when Slash lefted Axl got all the rights to the name Guns N' Roses.
- Slash quit Guns N' Roses after this in October 1996.
- Since then the band members of Guns N' Roses have just been suing each other for different things (Duff and Slash are suing Axl right now).
- Velvet Revolver started in the last year and includes ex-Guns N' Roses bass player Duff and drummer Matt.
- They have released an album now called 'Contraband' (2004)
