Okavango Delta, Botswana
Mokoros

There are 3 ways to explore this stunning area. By foot, by air or by mokoro(dugout canoe). All 3 offer different benefits. But which ever one you choose, be prepared to see alarge variety of animals.
We were lucky enough to view wildlife from all 3 perspectives. We camped out in the delta for 2 days, our first experience of true bush camping. Not only did our mokoro polers provide us with transportation, help us set up camp, they also acted as guides on the walks where we were able to get up close to the wildlife.
We were lucky to glimpse a good variety of wildlife including elephant, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, impala, and more birds then I can name.
From the air, we covered a lot more distance and were privleged to see huge herds of wildebeest, water buffalo, zebra, giraffe, elephant and a very large pride of lions.
