Soussvlei is home to some of the world's tallest sanddunes.  The tallest tower to over 300m.  a few of us attempted to climb the tallest one but did not get very far (they are so much steeper  and higher than they look!)  The scenery surrounding the dunes was equally stunning and photo opportunities abounded.

 

The sunset from atop the sanddunes is spectacular.  The contrasts in colours between the dunes, the mountains behind us and the last rays of the sun on the clouds really is something to behold.
