Regent's Park Area
Welcome to north London where everybody drives Jags, Mercedes and Ducati motorbikes. I know it doesn't look like much, and really in terms of sheer size, it's not. Most of these homes probably go for 1 to 3 million pounds ($1.7 to $5 million USD) This area is sort of like Manhattan or, maybe, Connecticut. Old money here.
Regent's Park
Roughly the center of the park, south of the London Zoo. The spaceship in the background is the British Telecom building or "post office" building. This park was built in the Vic Era (1800s) for "the good and rich." It actually says that on the placard at the entrance. I think they have concerts here in the summer.
Buildings Along the Park
This office building (probably law offices) is listed as one of the Prince's Trust sites. That means it has historical value, they can't demolish it for no good reason ... and Prince Charles likes to look at it.
Sign O' the Times
When I visited London, they were just getting ready to start charging people who didn't live inside the city proper just to drive through it. Actually, I thought the traffic was nothing compared to say, Los Angeles, but then most of this city was designed for pedestrians and horse carriages.
Between Finsbury & Islington
This was a week later, east of Regent's Park at sunset. Tez and I were strolling through and fell in love with these artist's lofts which were a lot nicer than the photo lets on. They all had their own greenhouses for ganja! WE WANT TO LIVE HERE!
