Those Rocks
January 8, 2003 Everybody was unimpressed except me. I still think they're cool. They're a lot bigger in person and you get the feeling they once held up a really big meeting hall, probably one of the first clubs the Rolling Stones played. |

Ol' Stonehenge When the Romans set up their little garrison in what they dubbed, "Brittania," these rocks -- along with Avebury's -- were already over 2,000 years old. Archeological data keeps pushing the date back. Centurians used to bring their dates here to impress them. |

Brrr!
It was SO COLD the day we stopped here, first the shutter froze on the geriatric Pentax, then my gloves froze to the lens while I was trying to focus and then I lost all sensation in my hands, my face, my ass, etc. -- and had to stop for a bit and stuff the camera inside my coat and inside my sweater to thaw out. So, nearly all my pics were cut in half because the shutter was frozen halfway open. If ever I needed an argument for a digital! |

Mel!
"CLOSE THE BLOODY DOOR!" I couldn't get Corrie out of the Ford. I toured the rocks alone that day. |

I'm not Muslim
I've never been so cold in my entire life. |

Carpark southwest of London
I wanted to take pictures of the highway patrolmen having the snowball fight, but I was too close to the carnage. Everyone was leaping around like snow was a good thing. |
