A few favorites......
Most of these books fall into the category of speculative fiction and many of them can also be considered works of magical realism. This list doesn't include any of my reading in the areas of History, Archaeology, Mythology, Anthropology; Philosophy and Physics; nor does it include frequent rambles through the worlds of the classics, mystery fiction, poetry and the theatre. Come to think of it, this list is rather short and it leaves out a lot of stuff......
